Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw WiguryTower Apartaments 89 from the street, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away on Stanisława Wigury in Śródmieście, and the building has that practical Polish architecture vibe going on. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.

The apartment I stayed in actually blew me away – I mean, for a 3-star place, they’ve really got their act together. The space feels more like a proper apartment than a hotel room, which makes sense given the name. You get a real kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), and honestly, after weeks of eating out while traveling, being able to cook some pierogi from the nearby shops was perfect. The whole setup is clean and modern, though I should mention the elevator is one of those older European ones – works fine, just moves at its own pace, if you know what I mean.

What really sold me on this place was how quiet it gets at night, which is sort of surprising since you’re right in the city center. The windows do a decent job blocking out street noise, and the area around Wigury isn’t one of those party districts anyway. During the day, you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to Piotrkowska Street – that’s Łódź’s main pedestrian strip where all the action happens. There’s also this little convenience store practically next door that stays open late, which saved me more than once when I realized I’d forgotten to grab coffee for the morning.

The staff actually seems to care, which – let’s be real – isn’t always a given at smaller places like this. Check-in was smooth, they spoke decent English, and when my apartment’s wifi was acting up (just for like an hour), they had someone up there pretty quickly to sort it out. The cleaning between stays is thorough too – no weird smells or mystery stains that make you question your life choices.

Here’s the thing about staying in Śródmieście: you’re not in the prettiest part of Łódź, but you’re definitely in the most practical part. It’s got that lived-in, working neighborhood feel rather than tourist-perfect charm. There are trams everywhere, so getting to the nicer areas like Manufaktura or the revitalized factory districts is easy enough. Plus, parking around here is way less stressful than near the main tourist spots – though the street parking can fill up during weekday business hours.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially for the price point. It’s got that rare combination of being actually functional for longer stays while still feeling clean and comfortable. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just trying to be good at what it does, and honestly, that’s refreshing.

  Byłam bardzo pozytywnie zaskoczona widokiem oraz czystością. Dodatkowo wszędzie było blisko, a klimatyzacja świetnie się sprawdziła na upalną pogodę :P. Super cena w stosunku do wszystkich udogodnień, bardzo polecam B)

  Location was perfect, close to centrum (walking distance), free parking, very easy access to the apartment.
  Apartment itself should be small, but you don't feel it. It's well designed, both sleeping room and bathroom are spacious, the shower is very comfortable (which isn't very popular in this kind of small rental apartments). Bed is comfortable, kitchen surprisingly big with a lot of space. Everything what you need, is inside the apartment, also washing machine and a dishwasher! Very convenient place to stay and if I'd have to stay again in Lodz, I would definitely again choose Wigury Tower Apartments 🙂 I am very happy with my stay there!
  
  PS – I used to live in Lodz for 26 years so I know the city very well – that's why I choose this location. Honestly, highest recommendation.
  
  What could be improved: I could good hear neighbours from above and they used to be quite lound during nights, but I am aware it's not an owner's fault.
