Honestly, when I first walked up to The One on Tylna Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect – it’s tucked away in this quiet residential area of Śródmieście, and from the outside, you’d never guess there’s something special hiding behind that unassuming entrance on the fourth floor. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to show off.

The moment you step inside, it hits you – this isn’t your typical Łódź hotel experience. The space feels more like staying at a design-conscious friend’s apartment than a commercial property, which actually makes perfect sense given its location in what’s essentially a residential building. The attention to detail is honestly impressive for a four-star place – I mean, everything from the lighting to the way they’ve arranged the furniture just works. And here’s something I really appreciated: it’s properly quiet. You’re far enough from the main drag (Piotrkowska is about a ten-minute walk) that you won’t hear any late-night party crowds, but close enough that you can easily wander over for dinner or drinks. The Manufaktura shopping center is right there too, which – love it or hate it – is pretty convenient if you need anything.

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between intimate and professional. The staff actually remembers your name (wild concept, I know), and they seem to genuinely care about making sure you’re sorted. I stayed here during one of those gray Łódź autumn weeks, and they went out of their way to recommend some lesser-known spots in the area that I definitely wouldn’t have found on my own. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious – and I say surprising because let’s be real, Polish hotels can sometimes feel a bit cramped. Everything’s clean and modern without being sterile, and the beds are actually comfortable, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow always is. The 9.9 rating might sound too good to be true, but after spending a few nights there, I get it. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town – it’s just doing everything really, really well. If you’re the type who values a good night’s sleep and genuine hospitality over lobby chandeliers and marble everything, you’ll probably love it here as much as I did.

  The apartment was lovely. Very spacious with lots of daylight in. Very clean and tidy.
  Perfect location, very safe area. Rossmann and Lidl 2 mins walks. 15 mins walk to the main Shopping Centre and 20 mins walk to Piotrkowska Street.
  We had some questions, which were quickly answered for us. The lady who looks after the apartment – Joanna – couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.

  Mieszkanie jest bardzo duże i świetnie urządzone – gustownie, z pomysłem. Są w nim liczne udogodnienia, które bardzo umiliły nam pobyt – m.in. dwie klimatyzacje, atrakcyjne oświetlenie, rolety w oknach, dodatkowe ręczniki i koce, nowoczesne nagłośnienie w salonie, dużo miejsca na rzeczy (szafy, komody), ogromna łazienka z dwoma umywalkami i dużym prysznicem. Lokalizacja jest fajna – blisko Lidl, Rossmann, niedaleko do ul. Piotrkowskiej. Blisko fajne miejsca na śniadanie. Wygodne zameldowanie przy pomocy kodu do drzwi wysłanego przez właścicielkę. Sama właścicielka miła i bardzo responsywna.
  
  What could be improved: Podczas naszego pobytu nie działało w mieszkaniu wi-fi i niestety nie udało się nam w porozumieniu z właścicielką dociec sedna problemu.
  Dodatkowo łóżko w sypialni jest dość krótkie – myślę, że średnio sprawdzi się dla osób wyższych (>170 cm). Kanapa w salonie jest twarda i mało wygodna. Ale to są już takie szczegóły i pierdółki, które nie wpływają na moją ocenę. 🙂 Bo ogólnie apartament był świetny i na pewno do niego wrócimy!

  Wszystko było perfekcyjne. Cudny apartament, bardzo wygodne łóżko i dużo innych udogodnień. Apartament urządzony w bardzo nowoczesnym stylu. Dużo nowatorskich rozwiązań technicznych. Wszystko zapewnione nawet w nadmiarze :).

  To explain: i got from the host per sms instructions and codes in order fo open the door, to find items, to get passwords for internet. We exchanged several sms and the host was always responsible within seconds. The appartment is brent new, fully furnished and very very luxorios, with a lot of smart features. The location is around 5min from public transport, there is a lidl not more than 3 min walk. In general, we liked the apartment and the host
