Everything feels bright and airy, even on those gray Polish winter days. The kitchen is probably better equipped than my own apartment back home, honestly. I ended up cooking more than I planned because, well, why not? There’s a proper coffee machine too – not one of those pod things that never taste quite right.

What really sold me on this place was the parking situation. Look, if you’ve ever tried to find parking in Łódź city center, you know it’s a nightmare. Having your own guaranteed spot is worth its weight in gold, especially when you’re dealing with rental car returns and early morning flights. The building itself sits in this quiet residential area where you can actually get a good night’s sleep – none of that tram noise you get closer to Piotrkowska Street. I walked to the main shopping areas in about fifteen minutes, maybe twenty if you’re taking your time, and there’s this little bakery two blocks over (I think it’s called Piekarnia something-or-other) that does incredible szarlotka if you’re into that sort of thing.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. There are books on the shelves, decent artwork on the walls, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that you don’t want to leave. I spent way too much time in there after long days of walking around the city. The bed was firm but comfortable – I’m picky about mattresses and this one passed the test. You’ve got blackout curtains too, which saved my life during those summer months when the sun’s up until like 9 PM.

The only tiny thing I’d mention is that the building entrance can be a bit tricky to find the first time – it’s not super well-marked from the street. But the host sent clear instructions, and once you know where it is, it’s easy. The whole check-in process was smooth, no standing around hotel lobbies with your luggage. You get your keys, you’re in, you’re settled. That’s exactly how it should be when you’re tired from traveling.
