Boutique Hotel’s I Milionowa Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Boutique Hotel’s I Milionowa on this quiet residential street in Łódź, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, and from the outside it looks more like a renovated townhouse than your typical hotel. But you know what? That’s exactly what makes this place work.
The location is actually pretty clever – Milionowa Street is tucked away from the main tourist chaos, but you’re still only about a 10-minute walk from Piotrkowska Street (that’s the main drag where all the action happens, if you’re not familiar with Łódź). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you can actually sleep without earplugs, which is saying something for a city center hotel. The building itself has this understated charm – it’s not trying too hard to be trendy, just clean lines and thoughtful touches that make sense. The lobby feels more like walking into someone’s well-designed living room than a hotel reception area.
The rooms are where this place really surprised me. For a 3-star property, they’ve put some serious thought into the details. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without playing Tetris with your luggage. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed – good water pressure, decent lighting for getting ready. What caught my attention was the local artwork on the walls; it’s not just generic hotel prints but pieces that actually reflect Łódź’s industrial heritage and artistic scene. The staff here knows their stuff too – they’ll point you toward the good pierogi spots that aren’t tourist traps, and they’re realistic about timing when you ask how long it takes to get places.
Honestly, the 7.9 rating makes sense to me. It’s not luxury, and it’s not trying to be – there are a few quirks, like the elevator being a bit slow and WiFi that occasionally needs a restart. But for what you’re paying, you’re getting solid value and a genuinely local experience. This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find a fancy spa or room service menu, but if you want a comfortable base for exploring Łódź without the generic hotel chain experience, it hits the mark. Plus, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like the owners actually care about the place rather than just running it by committee. The breakfast is simple but good quality, and they’ve got decent coffee – always important for getting your day started right when you’re exploring a new city.

It's Decent – Kristopher from United States – August 19, 2025 (7/10)
The room was available. The breakfast was good.
What could be improved: The photos make it look updated, but this hotel is well worn. Not gross, but definitely not what the photos suggest. The hallway smelled like BO, and the dirty laundry carts were full and in the hallway.Good – Adam from Poland – January 19, 2025 (7/10)
Clean
Wonderful – Alena from Czech Republic – August 20, 2024 (9/10)
A spacious room, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Electric kettle, cups, and coffee/tea bags were also provided.
What could be improved: We had a room facing the street, and it was a little noisy in the evening and early morning because of the traffic.Wonderful – Elena from Czech Republic – August 19, 2024 (9/10)
Bathroom! Tea and coffee in the room!
What could be improved: The room was too hot, with CLOSED window, though it was 30 degrees and the room under the roof.Wonderful – Lenka from Czech Republic – August 16, 2024 (9/10)

Very Good – Joanna from Poland – September 2, 2022 (8/10)
Clean, neat, up to date. Good breakfast
What could be improved: I got a ground floor room that didn’t have an actual window but some sort of highly placed opening which left the room rather dark and I had an issue closing it for the night. it was just for one night so I didn’t make a fuss but had I stayed for 2-4 days as originally planned, I would have asked to be moved.
