I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to WSCHODNIA ELEGANS Aparthotel on Wschodnia Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. The building sits quietly in Śródmieście, and you know how these residential-looking places can be hit or miss. But stepping inside? Complete 180. The lobby actually feels elegant without being stuffy, and the staff greeted me like I was checking into somewhere way fancier than a 3-star spot.

What really got me was how they’ve nailed the aparthotel concept here. My room – well, it was more like a proper apartment – had this kitchenette that actually worked (I mean, I could make real coffee, not just instant), and the living area didn’t feel cramped like so many European hotels do. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too, which matters when you’re exploring Łódź all day. Speaking of exploring, being on Wschodnia puts you right in the heart of things without the tourist chaos. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Piotrkowska Street – that’s the main pedestrian drag everyone talks about – but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with street noise all night. I actually slept really well there.

Here’s what I loved most though: the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi worked everywhere (tested it obsessively, as you do), there’s decent storage space for longer stays, and honestly, the bathroom was way nicer than I expected – good water pressure and everything. The area itself is perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where locals actually live. There’s a small grocery store just down the street, and I found this great pierogi place around the corner that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook. One small thing – the elevator is a bit slow, but it’s charming in that old European way. Plus, with a 9 out of 10 rating, I wasn’t the only one who fell for this place. It’s got that sweet spot vibe where you feel like you discovered something special, but everything actually works the way it should.

  Beautiful and cosy room, the kitchen with all supplies, great location. Professional and helpful staff.

  The stay exceeded my expectations in all regards. I had a room with a sauna, and it was beautiful- sparkling clean, modern, and meticulously organised. Every element of the decor and convenience (microwave, glasses, high-quality tea and coffee, water, ice mould in the freezer, a pretty variety of glasses) was very clearly thought through. When I asked the reception for a missing robe, someone arrived at the door with it very quickly. The robes and towels are soft and luxurious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is beautifully appointed. I enjoyed having a separate living room with a kitchen to relax in. There are high-quality TVs in both rooms (bedroom and living room). The sauna in the bathroom was very clean and modern, and very easy to use- there were even options with music. I must have spent hours there just relaxing.
  
  The staff in the reception and in the cafe area are beyond nice and happy to answer any questions. The cafe/ bar serves delicious, well-priced cocktails and high-quality matcha.
  Excellent location. In short, it's an ideal escape. I have been recommending it to everyone, and I can't wait to be back.

  Completely new apartments with a very beautiful design, all the fittings are new, high ceilings make you feel like in a castle. Clean, spacious and very elegant. Top notch quality, the highest level of communication and great service. At the reception they speak Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. I recommend for a stay in Lodz.
