But this charming 3-star property in Śródmieście genuinely surprised me in all the right ways. The building has this kind of quiet appeal that really grows on you, and frankly, that 9.3 rating makes complete sense after spending a night there.

What truly impressed me was how the staff genuinely seemed invested in getting every detail right. Check-in went smoothly (no hanging around while they struggled with their system), and they knew the area well enough to offer me excellent recommendations that weren’t just the standard tourist spots. The rooms themselves are what I’d describe as carefully designed – nothing overly fancy, but everything functions well and feels fresh. You know what I mean? Sometimes these mid-tier places skimp on things like the beds or water pressure, but that wasn’t the case here. The garden aspect they highlight in the name isn’t just clever marketing either; there’s actually some lovely greenery that makes the entire property feel less metropolitan, which is quite nice when you’re staying right in the city center.

In terms of location, you’re perfectly situated in Śródmieście without being caught in the madness of the primary tourist strips. Wigury Street itself is peaceful enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open a bit if you want some fresh air, but you’re still positioned well to walk to most destinations you’ll want to visit. I ended up getting coffee at this cozy place just around the corner each morning – one of those neighborhood gems where the barista knows your order by the third day. The tram access is excellent as well, which is more important than you might realize when you’re navigating Łódź efficiently. Look, this isn’t a luxury hotel or anything, but for what it is – a well-managed, comfortable base for exploring the city – it truly performs. The type of place where you feel like you received more value than you paid for, which doesn’t happen nearly as often as it should these days.
