The building sits in Śródmieście, which is perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the tourist circus that some central areas can become.

What really struck me about these apartments is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling like a proper hotel and having your own little Polish home base. The units themselves are spacious in a way that makes you realize how cramped most hotel rooms actually are – you can spread out your stuff, actually use the kitchenette (and trust me, after a few days of Polish restaurant portions, you’ll appreciate being able to make a simple breakfast). The fact that this place pulls a 9.2 rating isn’t just because people are being generous; there’s genuine attention to detail here. Like, the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, the heating responds when you adjust it, and – this might sound silly but it matters – the shower pressure is what you’d hope for after walking around Łódź all day.

Being on Wigury street puts you within walking distance of some spots that guidebooks don’t always mention but locals definitely know about. There’s this great little market area about ten minutes away where you can grab proper Polish bread and coffee that doesn’t cost a fortune, and you’re close enough to the main cultural district that you won’t spend half your day on trams. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel during the day – people heading to work, kids walking to school – which I actually prefer to those sterile hotel districts where nothing happens after 6 PM. Parking isn’t the nightmare it could be (though like anywhere in central Łódź, don’t expect it to be completely stress-free), and the building itself is quiet enough that you won’t hear every footstep from upstairs. I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy weekend, and honestly, I barely noticed other guests – which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to get decent sleep. The 3-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but that’s where this place is sort of sneaky good. It’s not trying to impress you with marble lobbies or complicated amenities you’ll never use; instead, it just does the important stuff really well.
