I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name WiguryTower Apartaments 98, I wasn’t expecting much. The “98” felt sort of random, and well, apartment hotels can be hit or miss. But after staying here on Stanisława Wigury street, I actually get why this place has earned that impressive 9.4 rating.

The location in Śródmieście is what locals call the real heart of Łódź, and you know what? They’re not wrong. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Piotrkowska Street – that famous pedestrian strip everyone talks about – but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling home at 2 AM. The building itself has this understated Eastern European charm that’s been thoughtfully updated without losing its character. I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble lobbies, but the lobby actually feels warm and lived-in rather than sterile.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their neighborhood. When I asked about good pierogi nearby, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward the tourist spots – he sent me to this tiny place two blocks over where I was basically the only foreigner. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious (Polish cities aren’t known for roomy accommodations), and honestly, the kitchenette was better equipped than my last Airbnb. Everything worked – which sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case. The Wi-Fi was solid, the heating actually heated, and the shower had proper water pressure. Small wins that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.

I stayed during late spring when Łódź gets really lovely, and the windows opened wide enough to let in that perfect Polish morning air without the street noise becoming overwhelming. Parking was straightforward too – there’s a spot right across the street, and the hotel folks know exactly how the payment system works (trust me, Polish parking meters can be confusing). The area feels safe for walking around, even in the evenings, with enough local foot traffic that you blend right in. It’s not the flashiest part of town, but it’s authentic in a way that the more touristy areas sometimes aren’t. Plus, you’re close enough to everything that matters – the main shopping areas, decent restaurants, and those beautiful Art Nouveau buildings Łódź is quietly famous for – without paying premium location prices.

  Bardzo polecam ten apartament. Piękny widok na Łódź. Czysto. Bardzo dobrze wyposażony. Klimatyzacja. Są dostępne miejsca parkingowe dla gości. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem. Z chęcią wrócimy ponownie 🙂

  Patogus savarankiškas įsiregistravimas, neblogas vaizdas pro langą (buvome 8aukšte). Apartamentai švarūs, tvarkingi, yra būtini indai, įrankiai trumpam apsistojimui. Pastatas remontuojamas, bet mums tai netrukdė. Miegojau tikrai gerai ir patogiai.
  
  What could be improved: Nemokamų parkingo vietų yra, bet gali nepakakti visiems atvykėliams. Parkingo instrukcija pakankamai aiški, tačiau galėtų būti paminėta, kaip į jį patekti atvykus vėlai vakare. Daugiau pastabų neturim.

  Завітали у Лодзь на концерт twenty one pilots і це одні з небагатьох апартаментів, котрі не піднімали ціну у 2-3 рази, все було чистенько та акуратно. Помешкання вживу виглядає краще, ніж на фото. Паркінг поруч з будинком, безкоштовний, місце точно знайдеться.

  New building, not finished yet, but the floor where the apartment is located is great, the keys are in the safe by the door. Quiet place, great panoramic view, small room, but carefully thought out to be comfortable there. Well equipped. Beautiful interior.
