I was expecting just another standard hotel stay, but this place actually feels like you’re living in Łódź rather than just visiting it. The building sits right on Stanisława Wigury street in Śródmieście – and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better spot myself. You’re basically in the heart of everything without dealing with the tourist trap chaos.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, which is saying something for a 3-star place. I mean, I’ve stayed in 4-star hotels where you can barely open your suitcase, but here you actually have room to spread out. The kitchen setup is what really sold me though – it’s not just some tiny kitchenette with a broken microwave. You can actually cook a proper meal if you want, and there’s this great little market just a few blocks down Wigury where locals shop (you’ll know you found it when you see the elderly Polish ladies with their wheeled shopping bags). The Wi-Fi works properly too, which… let’s just say that’s not always a given in this part of Europe.

What surprised me most was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re right in the city center. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day – it’s a real neighborhood, not some sterile hotel district – but by evening things settle down nicely. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place, too. Check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about getting to the main train station, they didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map. They actually drew out the walking route and mentioned which trams to avoid during rush hour. Those little details matter when you’re trying to navigate a city you don’t know well. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be something fancy it’s not, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to do. I’d honestly come back next time I’m in Łódź, which is probably the best compliment I can give any place.

  What could be improved: Communation (it was painful to communicate with hosts in English) and parking. There is limited number of parking spots and if you arrive too late you might not be able to park there for free. Luckily, there is at least an option to use *paid* parking spots near the street provided by city.
