I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to WiguryTower Apartaments 94 on Wigury Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The building has this sort of modern, understated look that doesn’t scream “hey, look at me!” but there’s something reassuring about that, you know? It sits right in Śródmieście, which honestly is the best part of Łódź if you want to actually experience the city rather than just pass through it.

What really surprised me was how spacious these apartments actually are. I mean, you hear “apartaments” and sometimes you’re picturing a glorified hotel room, but these feel like actual homes. The kitchens are properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – and the living areas have enough space that you don’t feel like you’re living on top of your travel companion. The whole place has this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe going on, which works really well against the backdrop of Łódź’s slightly gritty charm. And can we talk about that 9.2 rating for a second? That’s not an accident. The staff here actually seems to care about the details – fresh linens that smell like they were just pulled off a line somewhere, bathrooms that sparkle, and they’re quick to sort out any issues without making you feel like you’re bothering them.

Location-wise, you’re golden here. Wigury Street puts you within walking distance of Piotrkowska Street (which, if you don’t know, is basically the heartbeat of Łódź), but you’re far enough away that you won’t be dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s this great little café about two blocks down that does proper Polish breakfast – the kind of place locals actually go to, not the tourist traps. The tram connections are solid too, so getting around the city is pretty painless. Parking can be a bit of a dance, like most places in the city center, but the building has some spots and there’s usually street parking if you’re willing to walk a block or two. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’d think being in the city center would mean constant noise, but the building seems to block out most of the street sounds. Perfect for actually getting some sleep after spending the day exploring those incredible murals and converted factory spaces that make Łódź so unexpectedly fascinating. It’s definitely not luxury accommodation, but it’s thoughtfully done and feels genuinely welcoming rather than corporate.
