You know what struck me first about Widzewska Deluxe Apartment? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Łódź that feels worlds apart from the touristy chaos you’d expect. I mean, when you’re walking down Widzewska, it’s all tree-lined and peaceful – honestly feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel situation.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious, which you don’t always get with European accommodations. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter when you’re living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen is properly equipped (not just for show), and there’s enough counter space to actually spread out if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries from the nearby shops. Speaking of which, there’s this little bakery about two blocks down that locals queue up at every morning – the smell of fresh bread drifts down the street around 7 AM, which is either charming or annoying depending on how much you value sleep-ins. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works well, not the disappointing trickle you sometimes get in older buildings.

What I really appreciated was how the place sits in relation to the rest of Łódź. You’re far enough from the main drag that you won’t hear trams clattering by at all hours, but it’s still pretty easy to get into the city center when you want to explore Piotrkowska Street or check out the old factory buildings that make Łódź interesting. Parking is actually manageable here too – there’s street parking that doesn’t require solving a puzzle of Polish parking apps, which honestly saved me a lot of headache. The neighborhood has this lived-in feeling where people are just going about their daily business, kids riding bikes, that sort of thing. It gives you a glimpse of what it’s actually like to live in Poland rather than just tourist-spotting. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s solid without being flashy, comfortable without trying too hard to impress. There were a few minor things (the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty in the evening when everyone’s streaming, and the coffee maker is basic), but nothing that would make me choose somewhere else next time.

  Было довольно чисто, есть необходимая посуда, новая и хорошая мебель и техника, было приятно, что оставили 2 бутылки питьевой воды/чай/кофе.
  
  What could be improved: Отсутствовала горячая вода, в течении почти всего времени проживания. При заезде, в посудомоечной машине, была оставлена грязная посуда. Телевизор не подключен к пульту, из-за чего приходилось управлять им компьютерной мышью. Отсутствовали мусорные пакеты. Стройка рядом. Ответы из поддержки были достаточно медленными, мы не могли получить помощь по возникшим проблемам.

  I like the apartment, there were nice, new furniture, comfortable bad, everything we needed.
  
  What could be improved: They didn’t have air conditioner, and not fan to cool down, weather was very hot.
  We had a problem to turn off the light in living room, was all the time on.
  Also location was new and we try to call Uber, but give us a different address.
  Taxi driver had a problem to find the building.

  What could be improved: Trwająca obok budowa o ktorej nikt nas nie poinformowal, Panowie majstrowie zaczynali ostre wiercenia itd. ,o godzinie 5.40 nad ranem.
  Problem z otwieraniem i zamykaniem drzwi, nieprawidlowe dzialanie zamka.
  Utrudniony kontakt z wynajmującym, zero praktycznej pomocy po zatrzaśnieciu drzwi ,sama teoria.
  Dziwne znalezisko w sofie ,ostre narzedzie typu nóż, lufka do palenia i inne śmieci.
