West Side Piotrkowska Apartment Overview
You know what caught me off guard about West Side Piotrkowska Apartment? I was expecting just another basic rental, but this place actually has some character tucked away on the seventh floor of this pre-war building. The moment you step out of the elevator (thank god there is one – I mean, apartment 107 would be quite the climb), you get this sense that someone actually cared about making this space feel like home rather than just another cookie-cutter accommodation.
The location is honestly what sold me on this place. Piotrkowska Street is basically the heartbeat of Łódź – you’re literally living on what locals call the longest pedestrian street in Europe, which sounds like tourist marketing speak until you actually walk it and realize, well, it really does go on forever. From the apartment, you can hear the gentle hum of cafes and bars below, but it’s not that awful street noise that keeps you up at night. More like a comforting urban lullaby, if that makes sense. I spent most evenings just wandering down to Manufaktura shopping center (maybe a 15-minute walk) or discovering these incredible milk bars that serve pierogi for practically nothing. The tram connections are ridiculously good too – you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without thinking twice about it.
What really impressed me was how the apartment balances that authentic Polish experience with actual comfort. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to hit up the local market and cook (there’s a great one near Plac Wolności), but honestly, with all the restaurants right downstairs, I barely used it. The Wi-Fi actually works – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. One small thing though: the hot water takes a minute to kick in, so just run it while you’re doing other stuff. The 8.2 rating feels about right to me – it’s solidly good without being fancy, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. You’re not paying for marble bathrooms or a concierge, but you’re getting a genuine slice of Łódź life in the absolute best spot to explore the city’s surprisingly vibrant food and art scene.
Lodz’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with industrial charm, perfect for creative travelers wanting to experience daily life in this artistically vibrant Polish city.

Great location, pleasent colours inside.
What could be improved: Many things need small fixing, like curtains, shower, table. Room is very small (too small for 4 people), walls and bedsheets are a bit old and kitchen is not well equipt (missing cups, sharp knife).apartment super situated, quiet, nicely furnished – Aleksandra from Ireland – December 1, 2024 (8/10)
it’s really nice and quite place

What could be improved: Сложно с парковками.
103 stairs to reach this apartment – Nava from United States – August 22, 2024 (2/10)
Spacious interior
What could be improved: You have to climb 103 stairs to reach this attic apartment of a tall building. This is too much even without luggage.
The bed is extremely uncomfortable. There is hardly any cushion and the springs poke you all over.
There is a large skylight window (roof window) right above the bed so there is a bright light very early.
The courtyard was usually quiet but many times it also got loud and noisy, day or night, with people talking (shouting) on the phone in their balcony until 1:30 in the morning, loud dog barking, youths hanging out, work done in a restaurant in the courtyard.
There was a large carton box full of garbage right outside the door. We stayed 4 nights and it was there the all time.
The place was hot because it's right under the roof. There were two fans, one was broken and the other was very weak and full of dust.
The owner didn't reply to our messages until we messaged her in Polish. We asked to check in at 1 pm instead of 3 pm and she didn't let us.
The TV is very small. We didn't even try it.
There was no shampoo.
There was no microwave.Very Good – Anna from Poland – April 24, 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Niewygodne łóżkoModern, clean and comfortable apartment for a great price – Magda from United Kingdom – January 31, 2024 (9/10)
Great litle apartment located in a lovely courtyard far enough from the main street but in the heart of Lodz. Very modern and clean; great value for money as well, would definitely stay again.
What could be improved: The TV had no TV channels activated nor was it possible to login to Netflix even tough it was showing up as available so I was stuck with youtube only. The owner kept pretending they didn't know about cable TV not being available and I wasted 1.5 days with back and forth messages to try and figure out what the issue was. They finally admitted cable TV was not available.
Some of the bulbs had an extremely disturbing bright, cold white light.Exceptional – Barbara from Poland – December 27, 2023 (10/10)
Very well designed, comfortable, clean, spacious and cozy apartment in the centre of Łódź. Perfect location and very helpful host. Dream place! We recommend it to everyone!
