I mean, they literally put “Parking” and “Netflix” in the name – which honestly made me chuckle, but also told me these weren’t people trying to sound fancy for the sake of it. They get it. After driving around Łódź for hours (the city center can be a nightmare for parking), having a guaranteed spot was honestly a lifesaver. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property – there’s this lived-in comfort that you can’t fake. The Netflix setup works perfectly, which might sound trivial but after long days exploring the city’s industrial heritage sites and the incredible murals scattered throughout the districts, collapsing on their couch to binge-watch something was exactly what I needed.

What really won me over was the location’s authenticity. Baluty isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s precisely why it’s interesting. You’re living alongside actual residents, hearing real Polish conversations in the stairwell, smelling whatever delicious thing the neighbor is cooking. The tram connections are actually pretty solid – you can get to Piotrkowska Street or the Manufaktura shopping center without much fuss. Plus, being on the fourth floor means you’re above most of the street noise, though honestly, this area isn’t particularly loud anyway. The 9.3 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – it’s one of those places where you can tell the hosts care about the details. Small things like having decent Wi-Fi (crucial when you’re trying to navigate a city where your Polish vocabulary consists of “dziękuję” and “piwo”), proper blackout curtains, and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for more than just heating up instant noodles. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying in for breakfast instead of rushing out, and where you genuinely feel settled rather than just temporarily housed.
