Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address for Studio City centre Lutomierska Manufaktura, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Lutomierska 111 is this sort of residential street in the Baluty district that doesn’t scream “tourist destination,” but you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. The studio apartment sits in this converted building that feels authentically Łódź – none of that sanitized hotel chain nonsense you get everywhere else.

What really struck me was how the place manages to feel both urban and surprisingly quiet. I mean, you’re literally minutes from Manufaktura (hence the name), which is this massive shopping and entertainment complex that locals either love or hate – there’s no middle ground. But the apartment itself sits just far enough back from the main drag that you don’t get the weekend crowds stumbling past your windows at 2 AM. The setup is smart too – it’s a proper studio with everything you actually need, not just the bare minimum. The kitchen area had decent cookware (I actually made breakfast there, which tells you something), and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d wrestled with the mattress all night.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me though – the host clearly knows this neighborhood inside and out. They left these handwritten notes about where to grab the best pierogi (spoiler: it’s not at Manufaktura), which trams actually run on time, and how to navigate the somewhat confusing entrance to the building without looking like a confused tourist. That 9.3 rating isn’t just because the place is clean and functional – though it definitely is both – it’s because someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly for video calls, there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and honestly, the whole place just felt… settled. Not like someone threw together a rental property and called it a day.

The location ended up being brilliant for exploring Łódź properly. You can walk to the old textile factories that have been converted into cultural spaces, catch a tram downtown without dealing with the tourist crowds, and you’re close enough to Piotrkowska Street (the main pedestrian area) without paying those inflated central prices. Plus, there’s this little grocery store about two blocks away that stays open late – clutch when you realize you need coffee and actual food, not just whatever overpriced snacks they’re selling at the shopping center. If you’re the type who likes to experience a city like someone who actually lives there, rather than just hitting the obvious spots, this studio gives you that authentic Łódź base without sacrificing comfort.

  It was my second time staying at this accommodation, and I will most certainly come back again 😊 it is a feeling of own home but away. The place is very clean and offers all the appliances needed. In a quiet neighbourhood, however, only a few minutes away from the city centre. I definitely recommend 👌
