Studio Ciołkowskiego Overview
You know what really caught my attention first about Studio Ciołkowskiego? It’s nestled on this peaceful residential street that most visitors never discover – which is genuinely part of its appeal. I mean, you’re actually staying in an authentic Łódź neighborhood where locals truly live, not some impersonal hotel zone. The building itself has that classic Polish apartment block character, but don’t let that mislead you because inside it’s been converted into something genuinely remarkable.
The studio layout is fantastic – whoever planned this place really understands how people travel nowadays. There’s this clever little kitchenette that’s not just decorative (I actually prepared breakfast there), and the area flows beautifully despite being compact. The bed is surprisingly comfortable – I’m particular about mattresses and this one definitely passed the test. What I appreciated most though was how peaceful it becomes at night. You’d expect being in the city center vicinity you’d hear traffic, but Ciołkowskiego street is residential enough that you can comfortably sleep with the windows open during summer. The Wi-Fi functions reliably too, which is important if you’re trying to accomplish any work.
Location-wise, you’re roughly a fifteen-minute walk to Piotrkowska Street, which is ideal because you escape the weekend crowds but you’re near enough to everything that counts. There’s a good grocery store just a few blocks away on Pomorska – I picked up supplies there without any trouble. Honestly, the neighborhood feels secure walking around, even late at night when I was returning from dinner. The tram connections are excellent too if you want to discover other parts of Łódź, though I found myself walking most places. What truly impressed me was the host’s care for detail – everything from check-in instructions to local suggestions felt authentically helpful rather than copy-pasted. And that 9.7 rating? I understand it now after staying there. It’s one of those places that simply works without any complications, which is precisely what you want when you’re exploring a new city.

Apartament czysty i zadbany. Polecam !

What could be improved: Jedyny mankament, to brak kuchenki mikrofalowej.A solid budget-friendly option for a short visit – Volodymyr from Poland – May 16, 2025 (10/10)
Had a great stay in the apartment overall. The biggest advantage here is definitely the price-to-value ratio—hard to beat for what you get. It’s not a luxury place by any means: the building is older, and the interior shows some wear, but for a short stay like mine, it worked out really well.
If you’re after a budget-friendly option for a short visit and don’t mind a few imperfections, this is a solid choice.
What could be improved: The main downside for me was the pillows—they were much too thin and soft, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. If you're particular about that kind of thing, it might be worth bringing your own. That said, for the price I paid, these minor issues felt pretty easy to overlook.Good – Norbert from United Kingdom – November 23, 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: The pillow was uncomfortable and I wish there was also another blanket — it was a bit cold during the nightAn apartment with a special touch that makes one feel like home – Alfiya from United Kingdom – September 22, 2024 (10/10)
The check-in process was really smooth and well explained by the host. The location is perfect, it's quiet at night and there are a few shops across the road. The apartment is nice and immaculately clean, it has everything to make an accommodation comfortable. The bed is in a cozy nook. There are complimentary treats upon arrival. I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be back.
What could be improved: A microwave would be a good idea.Perfect – Irina from Estonia – June 24, 2024 (10/10)
