I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much from SKY Home- Wood Penthouse -Manufaktura, Parking, Klimatyzacja, Dostęp na Kod when I first saw that lengthy name. But you know what? This place on Drewnowska 77 completely surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. The penthouse sits right in the Baluty district, which might not sound glamorous if you’re not familiar with Łódź, but it’s actually perfectly positioned – you’re literally walking distance from the massive Manufaktura complex (think shopping, dining, cinema, the works) without dealing with all the tourist crowds camping right outside your window.

The wood theme isn’t just some marketing gimmick either. When you step inside, there’s this warm, cabin-like feeling that somehow works perfectly in an urban penthouse setting. The air conditioning was a godsend during my July visit – Łódź summers can be brutal, and I’ve stayed in plenty of places here where you’re basically melting by afternoon. What really impressed me though was the keyless entry system. I mean, no fumbling around for keys when you’re hauling groceries up, no awkward check-in meetings – just punch in your code and you’re home. It sounds minor until you’re actually living it for a few days. The parking situation deserves a mention too, because honestly, finding a decent parking spot in this part of Łódź can be a nightmare, especially near Manufaktura during weekends. Having your own dedicated space? That’s worth its weight in gold here.

The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a day or two. It’s not luxury in that sterile, hotel-chain way – it’s more like staying in a really well-thought-out friend’s place, if that friend happened to have excellent taste and actually cared about details. The penthouse gives you those nice city views without the street noise that can keep you up at night (learned that lesson the hard way in other Łódź stays). You’re close enough to walk to Piotrkowska Street when you want that classic Łódź nightlife experience, but far enough away that you can actually sleep. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but I’ve stayed in supposed four-star places that didn’t have half the thoughtful touches this place offers. Plus, being in Baluty means you get a real feel for how locals live – there are some great little cafes and shops tucked away that most tourists completely miss because they stick to the main tourist zone.

  Great apartment very clean and spacious, with all amenities as required. Very close to Manufaktura and about a 20 min walk to Piotrowska street. Well maintained.

  • Towels and bed linen smelled stale and unwashed.
  • Rotting towels were left in the washing machine from a previous guest.
  • The apartment looked much better in photos than in reality.
  • The place felt neglected, outdated, and poorly maintained.
  • The shower flooded the entire bathroom as water sprayed everywhere.
  • No power outlets were available near the bed.
  • The TV was placed in a way that blocked access to one side of the bed.
  • After I left a review, the hotel started calling me.
  • They falsely claimed I never checked in and tried to charge me extra fees.
  • I had to involve customer support to resolve the issue.

  Everything was ad advertised, and the pictures reflect reality. The apartment is very convenient, clean and perfectly meets the needs of ta family. The property is across the street from Manufaktura shopping center, a short walk to a tram line. Very nice view from the window!
