RentApart by Cotton House Overview
I stumbled onto RentApart by Cotton House during what was honestly a pretty desperate last-minute search for Łódź accommodations, and man, am I glad booking.com’s algorithm worked in my favor that day. The location on ul. Żwirki is actually perfect if you know the city a bit – you’re close enough to Piotrkowska Street (the main drag everyone talks about) but tucked away on this quieter residential street where you won’t hear trams clattering by at 6 AM.
The whole setup feels more like borrowing a well-designed friend’s apartment than staying in a typical hotel, which I mean, is exactly what you want from this kind of place. The Cotton House people clearly put thought into the details that actually matter – like having a proper coffee setup (not just some sad instant packets), blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets where you need them instead of hidden behind furniture. I was there during a pretty busy conference week in September, and while other places downtown were either booked solid or charging crazy rates, this felt like finding a secret that hadn’t been totally discovered yet. The 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’re actually there – it’s one of those places that just works without trying too hard to impress you.
What really sold me was the neighborhood vibe, honestly. You’ve got that authentic Łódź residential feel where you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning and picking up groceries, but you’re still maybe a 15-minute walk to all the main stuff you came to see. The building itself has this nice pre-war character (most of this area does), and the apartments inside strike that sweet spot between having personality and being genuinely functional. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because – well, partly because I was enjoying the city more than expected, but also because leaving this setup for some generic chain hotel near the airport felt like a downgrade. The whole experience just felt right, you know? Not too polished, not trying to be something it isn’t, just a really solid place to base yourself while you figure out what Łódź is all about.

Warm Staff and Cozy Rooms – Martissp from Lithuania – April 12, 2025 (10/10)
I had a wonderful stay at Cotton House. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. Great location and smooth check-in/check-out process. Would definitely stay again!
Great location and quality – Agatag from Poland – February 5, 2025 (9/10)
I have loved this accommodation and will be coming back next time I go to Lodz. A couple of points to highlight: (1) excellent location – within walking distance from Kaliska Railway Station, Piotrkowska, and Manufaktura; (2) safety – the Cotton House apartments are part of a gated community; (3) overall standard – new building, new apartment, good equipment – from the fully equipped kitchen with tea/coffee service, to an iron and ironing board to a very decent hair dryer and washing machine in the bathroom – you are provided with everything you will need!
What could be improved: There was some noise coming from the nearby trams on Zeromskiego Street, but nothing too major – plus, that stops around midnight and resumes in the morning, so the inconvenience is not that big. Although the apartment was overall very clean, two points leave room for improvement – the kettle in the kitchen needs descaling and the bathroom air vent cover needs a good scrub. With that said, I still very much recommend Cotton House and their apartments and will definitely be booking again for my next trip to Lodz!Exceptional – Valerie from United Kingdom – March 20, 2024 (10/10)
very nice apartment. quiet and spotless
What could be improved: had to use ubers to get anywhereExceptional – Andrea from Germany – December 10, 2023 (10/10)
Everything, ease, location, convenience. Also, I’ve been there for the second time, that by coincidence the same apartment, and it just feels like home.
What could be improved: nothing really, but if I had to fish, needing to find the reception and leave and enter the complex with a key code, can sometimes be a little difficult, but not really.Exceptional – Andrea from Germany – October 17, 2023 (10/10)
Incredibly comfy and convenient apartment, great size, super comfortable beds, great windows, balcony with a nice view, fantastic location near TUL and park and within walking to the Kaliska station.
What could be improved: Other than the bathroom sink needing a bit of declogging everything was perfect 🙂Wonderful – Anna from United Kingdom – September 23, 2023 (9/10)
location
What could be improved: wasn’t very cleanPoor – Liliia from Ukraine – January 3, 2023 (3/10)
The staff is awfully rude. Lack of supplies at the site. The smell in the apartment was awful
Exceptional – Beataf from United Kingdom – October 30, 2022 (10/10)
I love everything about this apartment, the location, the decor, the size and the facilities.
What could be improved: I'd have liked more pillows and an additional quilt.Overall OK – Batuhan from Poland – October 11, 2022 (8/10)
It was quite a new place, so everything looked good. It was not either far or close to the city center. Everything went easy starting from the entrance to check out. Was a clean and nice place however it was a bit expensive. So, if you say I will pay for it and not think about anything else, you can choose it here.
What could be improved: There is no specific thing that I did not like. I just don't like the fact that it's carpet all the way through and that's how the bedroom was.Exceptional – Beataf from United Kingdom – August 24, 2022 (10/10)
The location, the facilities, cleanliness of the apartment. Towels and toiletries were provided. Coffee machine and a selection of teas was a nice touch. Everything that was needed for a relaxing stay was included. Loved staying there and already booked to come back.
What could be improved: Hard to find anything not to like. Maybe I'd suggest to provide some pods for the coffee machine as there weren't any.
