The apartment itself sits in this typical Polish tenement building that’s got character – the kind where you hear your upstairs neighbor’s TV sometimes, but it’s never actually bothersome.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully set up this one-bedroom place is. The previous guests clearly weren’t just passing through tourists because everything felt lived-in but well-maintained. The kitchen actually has proper cookware – not those flimsy pans you usually get in rentals where you’re basically warming up takeout. I spent a morning making coffee and planning my day while looking out at the courtyard, and there’s something genuinely peaceful about starting your day without the chaos of a hotel breakfast buffet. The bedroom’s compact but smart about storage, which matters when you’re staying more than just a night or two. Actually, the whole place feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in some sterile accommodation.

Here’s the thing about this part of Łódź that really works in this place’s favor – you’re close enough to the main action that you can walk to restaurants and bars (there’s this fantastic pierogi spot about five minutes away that doesn’t even have English signage), but far enough from the weekend party scene that you’ll actually sleep well. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here because it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just genuinely functional and comfortable. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle on Wschodnia Street itself – I ended up finding spots on the side streets pretty easily, but if you’re arriving Friday evening, give yourself some extra time. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby nonsense. I’d definitely book this again, especially if I was coming to Łódź for work or just wanted to experience the city like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through.

  Spacious apartment with high ceilings and secure entrance. It’s nice that there’s a separate bedroom. We did not use the kitchen, though it’s great to have an opportunity to prepare meals. Location is also good, plenty of parking space on the street which is free after working hours and on weekends.
  
  What could be improved: It’s too noisy to sleep with open windows as street is busy and construction works nearby begin ~5 o’clock in the morning. Otherwise it’s too hot (we visited in July). TV has only Polish programs so Netflix connection would be really appreciated.
