Qubus Hotel Łódź Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Qubus Hotel Łódź? Walking up to this sleek, modern building on Mickiewicza – honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but this hotel punches way above its weight class. The whole area around here has this interesting mix of old Łódź character and newer development, and the Qubus fits right into that vibe without trying too hard.
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Łódź at all. You’re basically a stone’s throw from the city center, but far enough from Piotrkowska Street that you won’t deal with weekend party noise (learned that the hard way at other places). I mean, you can easily walk to all the main attractions – the Manufaktura shopping center is maybe 15 minutes on foot, and getting to the revitalized factory district where all the cool restaurants are is no big deal. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their city. When I asked about finding good pierogi that wasn’t touristy, the guy at reception gave me directions to this little spot locals actually go to – that kind of thing makes a difference.
The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for what you’re paying, and there’s this clean, minimalist design that feels more upscale than the star rating suggests. The beds are actually comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be), and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. I stayed during a busy conference season in spring, and even with the hotel pretty full, everything ran smoothly – no issues with hot water or elevators breaking down, which honestly happens more often than it should at places in this price range. The breakfast spread was solid too – nothing fancy, but they had local specialties mixed in with the standard continental stuff, and the coffee was way better than I expected. One small thing that impressed me was how quiet it stayed at night, even with rooms facing the street. Those windows must be doing their job because Mickiewicza can get busy during the day. If you’re driving, there’s parking available, though I’d recommend asking about it when you book since spaces can fill up during events at the nearby venues. Really, for the price point and that stellar 9 rating from other travelers, this place delivers exactly what you want from a city hotel – comfortable, well-located, and run by people who actually care about doing their job well.

What could be improved: NothingLodz break – Bernard from Poland – October 28, 2024 (9/10)
The hotel is a perfect choice for a weekend break. Located in the walking distance from main streets of Lodz provides excellent starting point to explore the area. Our room was good and bathtub made it special.
What could be improved: It was hot inside the room and opening windows means you heard the whole noise of the busy street.Stay over on our way to the Baltic Coast for holiday – Lee from Czech Republic – June 29, 2024 (10/10)
