I’ll be honest – when I first walked into PURO Łódź Centrum on Ogrodowa Street, I wasn’t expecting much from this stretch of central Łódź. But man, was I wrong. This place completely transformed what I thought a 4-star hotel could be, and that 9.5 rating? Yeah, it’s earned.

The thing about PURO is that it gets the details right in ways that actually matter. You know how some hotels look great in photos but feel sterile when you’re there? This is the opposite. The design has this industrial-meets-minimalist vibe that somehow feels warm – exposed brick mixed with these gorgeous dark wood accents and lighting that’s actually flattering (your Instagram will thank you). The rooms are surprisingly spacious too, which is rare for European city centers. I mean, I could actually open my suitcase without playing Tetris with the furniture. The beds are those thick, sink-into-them types that make you seriously consider extending your stay, and the bathrooms – well, let’s just say the rainfall shower situation is dangerous if you have morning meetings.

What really sold me on this place though is how it sits in the neighborhood. Srodmiescie isn’t the most obvious tourist area, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re walking distance from Piotrkowska Street (Poland’s longest pedestrian street, if you’re into that sort of thing), but you’re not dealing with the chaos that comes with staying right on top of it. The area around Ogrodowa has this authentic Polish city feel – there’s a great pierogi spot literally two blocks away that locals actually go to, not just tourists. Plus, you can easily walk to the Manufaktura shopping complex when you need your retail therapy fix, though honestly, I found myself just wandering the nearby streets more often than not. Parking was surprisingly painless too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish city centers will appreciate. The staff actually knows the area – when I asked about getting to the train station, they didn’t just point me toward a taxi but explained the tram situation and which stops to avoid during rush hour. That kind of local knowledge makes a difference when you’re trying to navigate a city that doesn’t always cater to English speakers. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready yet” nonsense even though I showed up early, and they genuinely seemed happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretentious attitude that usually comes with it.

Early hotels booking in Lodz requires advance planning during peak festival seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned film culture and revitalized districts.

  Amazing hotel- nice atmosphere, amazing location- just opposite to tourist attraction Manufaktura and few streets away from the famous shopping street.

  It's a very smart and presentable hotel. It has a very relaxed, chilled and quiet atmosphere about it. Along with the rooms, the hotel is very well decorated and presented. The rooms are definitely very comfortable and a very quiet sleep, despite being next to the lift. The staff were brilliant, always friendly and helpful. Would book a Puro hotel again.
  
  What could be improved: Not a lot, nothing springs to mind, but more drink making facilities apart from the coffee maker would be a good addition. Otherwise, no grumbles here.

  This is our third stay at Puro Hotels throughout our vacation in Poland, and also this time didn’t disappoint. The location of the hotel is great, right in front of Manifaktura shopping mall and the beautiful French-style Lodz Museum! Style is relaxed yet refined, rooms are spacious, comfortable beds and smart lighting. What sets this hotel apart is the beautiful views both from rooms, terrace and even from the spa! Another big thumbs up is the bar on the terrace. Cool design, oversized windows, green terrace, and above all the kindest and super professional bartender, suggesting and preparing excellent drinks. We loved spending time up there! Rest assured you will have a great stay, and don’t skip the rooftop drinks!
