I could walk to Piotrkowska Street in about eight minutes, and that’s where all the action happens – the bars, restaurants, and that famous longest pedestrian street in Europe thing everyone talks about. What I really appreciated though was being close enough to feel connected to the city buzz, but far enough that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.

The practical stuff matters too, and this place gets it right. The kitchen actually has everything you need (I made pierogi from scratch one evening – don’t judge), the wifi works properly for video calls, and the shower has decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in older Polish buildings. The bed is comfortable enough that I slept through construction noise one morning, though fair warning – Polish cities start their day early, so you’ll hear some street activity by 7 AM. That 9.3 rating makes total sense when you consider how many small details they got right. Fresh towels, decent coffee in the cupboard, even some local recommendations written in a little notebook on the counter. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s the kind of place where you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.

What really sold me on this spot was the neighborhood vibe. Narutowicza Street has this lived-in quality – there’s a small grocery store downstairs where the owner started recognizing me after three days, a decent kebab place around the corner for late-night cravings, and you’re walking distance from some of Łódź’s coolest converted factory spaces. The city’s got this whole post-industrial renaissance thing happening, and staying here puts you right in the middle of it. Plus, if you’re planning day trips, the tram connections are solid – I got to the main train station in maybe fifteen minutes. It’s one of those places where you end up staying longer than planned because it just works, you know?
