You know what caught me off guard about Polonia Residence Panorama by LookAp Klimatyzacja? Walking into what looks like a pretty standard residential building on Narutowicza and finding these surprisingly spacious, well-equipped apartments inside. I mean, the name’s a bit of a mouthful – honestly, most locals just call it “that apartment hotel near the center” – but don’t let that throw you off.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Łódź at all. Narutowicza Street puts you right in Śródmieście, which sounds fancy but really just means you’re walking distance to Piotrkowska Street without dealing with all the weekend chaos that comes with staying directly on it. I loved that I could grab coffee at one of those little cafés on Piotrkowska in the morning, then actually get some peace when I came back in the evening. The trams run right along this route too, so getting around the city is dead simple – no need to figure out parking downtown, which, trust me, you don’t want to deal with in Łódź.

What really sold me on this place was the apartment setup. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms with a sad little desk and nowhere to put your stuff. You get actual living space here – a proper kitchenette where you can make real breakfast (not just instant coffee), and honestly, after eating Polish hotel breakfasts for a week, being able to grab some fresh bread and make my own was a relief. The air conditioning works well too, which might sound obvious given it’s literally in the name, but you’d be surprised how many places in this part of Poland still rely on opening windows and hoping for the best. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but everything works like it should, the place is clean, and the staff actually seems to care about getting things right. I had a small issue with the WiFi my first night, and they sorted it out within an hour, no runaround. The panorama part of the name is a bit optimistic depending on which floor you’re on, but even from the lower floors, you get decent views of the neighborhood, and there’s something charming about watching daily life happen on these tree-lined streets. It’s proper residential Łódź, not touristy at all, which I actually preferred.

  What could be improved: We stayed two different times, the first time there were no glasses. So, we bought some. When we came back for our second stay, the glasses were no longer there. The coin operated laundry could use some better instructions. Thought my clothes were being held hostage, needed to put in more coins for the cycle to finish. Dryers took FOREVER.

  Świetna lokalizacja, 10 minut spacerem do Piotrkowskiej. Wspaniały balkon na długości całego apartamentu zeby wieczorem poobserwować nocne łódzkie życie a z rana usiąść na parapecie z kawą. Apartament bardzo praktyczny, pięknie urządzony. No I wanna z hydromasazem – rewelacja.

  The block is very well maintained and in a very good location, just a few minutes walk from the train station and to the centre. The apartment is beautifully decorated, super clean and very comfortable. And to say the host is very nice and helpful is an understatement, honestly could not ask for more so THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!
