The rooms have this eclectic mix of vintage furniture and modern touches that actually works, unlike some places where “boho” just means throwing random colorful pillows everywhere. I appreciated the little details, like how they’ve got proper blackout curtains (crucial if you’re jet-lagged) and the kind of shower pressure that makes you want to extend your stay. The neighborhood itself is pretty fantastic – you’re walking distance from Piotrkowska Street, which is basically Łódź’s main artery for restaurants and nightlife, but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff actually seemed to know their city. When I asked about good pierogi spots, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – he drew me a little route to this family-run place two blocks away that ended up being the highlight of my food experiences in Łódź. It’s more of a carefully curated selection that changes daily, which I actually prefer to those wasteful hotel buffets where half the food goes untouched. Sure, it’s technically a 3-star property, but honestly, I’ve stayed at 4-star places that felt way more generic and soulless. The Polonia Residence gets that whole “home away from home” thing right, and in a city like Łódź that’s still discovering itself as a tourist destination, having a base that feels authentically local rather than internationally bland makes all the difference.

  Easily accessible location, about 5min walk to train station through a small park. Check-in was generally smooth, easy to get into the building but would be nice to know beforehand that you have to go through an extra door once you are on the floor in order to access the actual apartment door. Electric kettle wasn't working so host came over to bring a new one! Overall clean and seems to be newly remodeled. Has elevator, heater and air conditioning. Host generously allowed for later check out.
  
  What could be improved: Generally small spaces and gets to very hot in the afternoon with the sun if you don't leave the air conditioning running. Also quite loud with the tram running just under the building and extremely loud with the windows opens. Tram stops around 11am, not sure when it starts in the morning, maybe around 5am?

  We found these apartments like from the magazine. Super stylish, super clean. It seems like we were the first visitors😍. Very soft towels, bedding. All stylish details. We can’t say nothing about the location because we arrived 10 pm and left 8 am. For us it was so perfect to find supermarket in the same building working until 11 pm.
