The old textile district with all those converted factories-turned-cultural-spaces is maybe a fifteen-minute stroll, and honestly, that’s where Łódź gets really interesting. You’ve got Manufaktura nearby if you need your shopping fix, but I’d skip that tourist trap and just wander the actual streets – way more character.

The studio itself lives up to the “colourful” part of its name, though in a surprisingly tasteful way. I was expecting something garish, but whoever designed this place actually has an eye for it. The rooms are compact – I mean, we’re talking studio apartments here, not sprawling suites – but everything feels intentional. There’s this nice balance where it’s bright and cheerful without feeling like you’re sleeping inside a rainbow. The kitchenette situation is legit too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. I actually cooked breakfast a few times (the little market on the corner has decent fresh bread, by the way), and having that option just makes the whole experience feel less… touristy, you know?

What struck me most was how the place manages to feel both Polish and international at the same time. You’ll definitely encounter other travelers – I chatted with a couple from Germany and some backpackers from Spain during my stay – but it doesn’t have that sterile hostel vibe. The 7.3 rating seems about right, honestly. It’s solidly good without being fancy, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The building itself has some age to it, so don’t expect perfect soundproofing or marble bathrooms, but the character more than makes up for any minor quirks. Check-in was straightforward, parking isn’t impossible if you’re driving (though I’d recommend just using the trams – Łódź has a surprisingly decent public transport system), and the whole experience felt refreshingly unpretentious. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable base for actually exploring Łódź without spending a fortune, this little studio delivers exactly what it promises.

  The only thing I liked was the location close to the city center, and the WiFi was fast.
  
  What could be improved: Dark street, ruined buildings around, very noisy neighbors. No towels or bathroom stuff at check-in, and the owner just stopped answering after promising to bring them. Dirty sofa, low ceilings, and wasps keep flying in every time you open the window. Plus, a big internet antenna heats up right in the room – not great for sleeping. Only good thing – fast WiFi. Not recommended unless you’re a student who doesn’t care about service.
