Piotrkowska Welcome Apartments Overview

You know what really struck me when I first walked into Piotrkowska Welcome Apartments? The way they’ve managed to make this place feel like home while you’re literally on Łódź’s most famous street. I mean, Piotrkowska is basically the beating heart of the city – it’s this incredibly long pedestrian boulevard that stretches for miles, lined with cafes, bars, and some pretty impressive Art Nouveau architecture. Being right at number 122 puts you smack in the middle of everything, but honestly, the soundproofing is surprisingly good for a 3-star place.

The apartments themselves have this comfortable, lived-in vibe that I really appreciated. Nothing too fancy or Instagram-perfect, just clean, functional spaces with decent kitchenettes (which actually saved me a ton of money since eating out every meal in Śródmieście can add up). The beds are proper comfortable – I’m talking deep sleep despite being in the city center – and the wifi actually works, which you’d think would be a given but… well, you know how it is sometimes. What I loved most was having my own little space to decompress after wandering around the city all day. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel reception desk drama.

Location-wise, you’re basically living like a local here. There’s this great milk bar called Bar Mleczny just a few blocks away where you can get incredibly cheap, hearty Polish food (and practice pointing at things on the menu if your Polish is as rusty as mine was). The famous Manufaktura shopping center is maybe a 15-minute walk if you need to grab essentials or want to see how they’ve converted this massive 19th-century textile factory into a modern complex. But honestly, I spent most of my time just wandering up and down Piotrkowska itself – there’s always something happening, especially in the evenings when the whole street comes alive with street performers and people just hanging out. The tram connections are solid from this area too, so getting to other parts of Łódź (like the impressive EC1 science center or the colorful Bałuty district) is pretty straightforward. For the price point and that 9-rating from other travelers, it really delivers on being a genuine neighborhood experience rather than just another generic hotel stay.

Reviews of Piotrkowska Welcome Apartments

  • Exceptional – Rosemary from Ireland – August 16, 2025 (10/10)

The location was amazing, the apartment was very clean and cozy, it was small but perfect.

  • Worth the stay! – Kristiāna from Latvia – July 1, 2025 (9/10)

Apartment was so cozy and homy. Location was great, just three steps out of the apartment are main street with so many restaurants and cafes for every taste, on the corner (1min walk) is regular food shop. Main street on evenings gets busy, but noise canceling windows did wonders. Not a beep was heard and air conditioner kept as nice and cold.

What could be improved: Wasn't an issue for us, but apartment is located in last floor of the building (4th floor), it is kind of a big climb to get up there and we didn't find an elevator ( it is an old building).

  • Pleasant, warm and clean. – Elizabeth from United Kingdom – June 5, 2025 (8/10)

Very spacious, bright and in central location. Little kitchenette available in the studio. Modern, clean bathroom. In the corridor coffee machine with a generous selection of coffees and chocolate confectionery! No tv in the room which was welcome.

What could be improved: Towels were rather old – it wasn’t pleasant to use them.
Also, really have to watch out for a little step between kitchenette and living area.
Some noises from the neighbouring property.

  • Lovely little apartment – Rebecca from United Kingdom – March 26, 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was clean, comfy, quiet and nicely decorated. The coffee machine and teabags in the hallway were a nice extra. The apartment was nice and warm but also had large windows to open for a breeze. (We stayed in March so warm in the day but -1 at night). The kitchen area was nice including plates, cutlery, fridge, kettle etc so would be good for a slightly longer stay.

The apartment is also in the main area of Piotrkowska where the shops and resturants are located so a great location for bars, resturants, shops and museums. It is easy to find and only a 40 min bus from the airport and a walkable distance from the Atlas Arena. Very happy with our stay, thank you

  • Good place to stay in Łódź – Nikita from Poland – February 10, 2025 (10/10)

    Location

What could be improved: TV (absence)

  • Wonderful – Tuomo from Finland – February 8, 2025 (9/10)

Central location, comfortable bed, clear interaction with the hosts.

What could be improved: Windows were left open when I came to the apartment, so it was a bit chilly.

  • Exceptional – Agnieszka from United Kingdom – December 31, 2024 (10/10)

Very clean, stylish and cosy. Hosts agreed to early checking in which was a massive help as we had luggage and arrived earlier

  • Exceptional – Czesław from Poland – December 9, 2024 (10/10)

Well placed apartments with anything you may need on a trip. Nice and tidy with simple access. The apartment is nicely arranged which makes it cozy and comfy.

  • Great. Central location. Lovely breakfasts at local cafe. – Helen from United Kingdom – December 7, 2024 (10/10)

Very well presented. Very clean. Communication was top notch.

  • Clean, value for money and central located. – Precious from Poland – September 27, 2024 (8/10)

    Everything, very clean.

    Liked the Nespresso machine.

Shower was divine and the shower gel had a lovely smell.

Worth it for anyone staying a little while and wants to see the city.

What could be improved: The staircase up was a bit scary. Also had a faint smell,
