Piotrkowska Premium by LookAp Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Piotrkowska Premium by LookAp, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages, and this little gem on Piotrkowska 37 completely caught me off guard.

The location is actually pretty perfect if you want to be right in the thick of things in Łódź’s Śródmieście district. You’re literally on Piotrkowska Street – which, if you don’t know, is this incredibly long pedestrian strip that’s basically the heart of the city’s social life. I mean, step outside and you’ve got cafes, bars, and street art everywhere. The noise level isn’t too bad either, which surprised me given how central it is. Maybe it’s because the building itself has some decent soundproofing, or maybe I just got lucky with my room facing the quieter side.

What really struck me about this place was how much they’ve managed to squeeze out of that 3-star rating. The rooms feel way more premium than you’d expect – clean lines, decent lighting (thank god, because so many hotels get this wrong), and the beds are actually comfortable. Not just “hotel comfortable” but genuinely good sleep comfortable. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in there longer than you should. Check-in was smooth too – the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood, which is refreshing when you’re asking about where to grab dinner or whether that tram line actually runs on Sundays.

Here’s the thing about staying right on Piotrkowska though – you’re going to want to explore on foot, and this spot makes that ridiculously easy. The old Manufaktura shopping center is maybe a 15-minute walk if you’re feeling ambitious, and honestly, just wandering down the street itself is entertainment enough. I spent way too much time checking out the weird sculptures and murals that pop up randomly along the way. The area gets pretty lively on weekends (you’ll hear it), but it settles down nicely during the week. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – the street itself is pedestrian-only, but there are spots nearby if you’re willing to walk a block or two.

What really sealed the deal for me was realizing this place consistently gets ratings in the high 9s, and after staying there, I totally get why. It’s not trying to be fancy or pretentious – it’s just doing the basics really, really well. The kind of place where everything works, the WiFi doesn’t cut out when you need it most, and you don’t feel like you’re compromising on comfort just because you didn’t blow your entire budget on accommodation. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring Łódź rather than lounging around your hotel room, this is exactly the kind of reliable, well-located base camp you want.

Best hotels in Lodz range from charming boutique properties in the historic Piotrkowska Street to elegant converted factory hotels with stunning views of the revitalized industrial districts.
