The free parking thing – and I can’t stress this enough – is huge here. Anyone who’s tried to find a decent parking spot in Śródmieście knows what a headache that usually is, so having your own guaranteed spot feels like winning the lottery.

What really got me though was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (they actually remembered I’d mentioned I was traveling for work), and when I asked about good local spots for dinner, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – he drew me a little route to this amazing pierogi place that locals actually go to. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly. The bed was surprisingly good actually, and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which honestly is sometimes hit or miss in this part of Europe. There’s this cozy, lived-in feeling to the whole place that makes it feel more like staying at a friend’s apartment than some sterile hotel chain.

The building has character too – you can tell it’s got some history to it, with those high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just slightly when you walk across them. I actually found it kind of charming, though if you’re super sensitive to every little sound, maybe pack earplugs just in case. The neighborhood comes alive during the day with people heading to work and students from the nearby university, but settles down nicely in the evenings. I spent a couple mornings just watching the city wake up from my window with coffee, and it felt like getting a real glimpse into how Łódź actually lives and breathes. For the price point and that killer rating of 9 out of 10, I can see why people keep coming back here – it’s one of those places that just gets the basics right without any pretense.

Hotel in Lodz booking should be done early, especially during film festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cinematography events.

  What could be improved: Parking w podwórzu sprawia utrudnienia w dniu przyjazdu i wyjazdu. Trzeba zostawić samochód zaparkowany gdzie indziej i pójść do mieszkania po pilota. W dniu wyjazdu zaparkować poza i wrócić z pilotem do mieszkania. Nie zawsze jest miejsce poza.
