You know what surprised me most about Old Market Residence Drewnowska Manufaktura&Parking? How quiet it actually is, considering you’re basically in the heart of one of Łódź’s most happening neighborhoods. I mean, when you’re on Drewnowska street, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from all the Manufaktura action – that massive shopping and entertainment complex that used to be a textile factory – but somehow the apartment stays peaceful enough that you’ll actually get some sleep.

The whole setup is pretty straightforward, honestly. It’s more like staying in someone’s well-kept apartment than a traditional hotel, which I actually preferred. The space feels lived-in but clean, and there’s something refreshing about having a proper kitchen instead of just a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The parking situation is clutch too – and I say that as someone who spent way too much time circling blocks in other Polish cities trying to find a spot. You don’t realize how much stress that saves you until you’re not doing it. The Baluty district gets a bit of a mixed reputation from some locals, but this particular stretch feels totally fine, and during the day there’s plenty of foot traffic from people heading to Manufaktura or exploring the revitalized parts of the neighborhood.

What really sold me on the place was how the host actually seemed to know the area. Like, they didn’t just hand over keys and disappear – they mentioned which tram stops were most convenient (the Manufaktura stop is obvious, but there are actually better options depending on where you’re headed), and they were spot-on about restaurant recommendations in the immediate area. The rating of 9.2 makes total sense when you consider what you’re getting for a 3-star place. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly, the wifi is solid, and the location gives you that perfect balance of being close to everything without feeling like you’re sleeping above a nightclub. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend time exploring both the touristy Manufaktura area and some of the grittier, more authentic parts of Łódź that are within walking distance. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing the city rather than just passing through it.

  Pěkné ubytování poblíž centra města, v klidné lokalitě. Pro nás bylo plusem, že je ubytování v přízemí domu. Výhodou byl i parking auta ve vnitrobloku, a to přímo pod okny apartmánu. Ve vnitrobloku se přitom dalo i otočit, takže ani výjezd z rodinným vanem nebyl problém. Vybavení velmi slušné.
