So I stumbled across OhMyHome – Kościuszki during one of my stays in Łódź, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard. You know how some hotels feel like they’re putting on a show? This isn’t that – it’s more like staying at a really well-organized friend’s apartment, if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and multiple guest rooms.

The location on Tadeusza Kościuszki is actually perfect for exploring Śródmieście without being stuck right in the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re close enough to walk to Piotrkowska Street in about ten minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with drunk groups stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The building itself has this understated charm – nothing flashy, but you can tell someone put thought into the details. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the person at reception actually knew the neighborhood well enough to recommend this little café around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise.

What really struck me about the place was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between boutique and practical. The rooms feel spacious for a 3-star property, and there’s this attention to little things that matters when you’re actually living there for a few days – good lighting for reading, outlets where you need them, decent water pressure (trust me on this one). The decor is modern but not sterile, sort of that Scandinavian-influenced look that’s everywhere now, except they’ve done it properly. I stayed during a busy conference season in Łódź and was surprised how quiet it stayed, even with decent occupancy.

Honestly, with an 8.8 rating, I was expecting something good, but this exceeded that – you know how sometimes high ratings come from people who just appreciate basic competence? This felt like it earned those scores through genuine thoughtfulness. The Wi-Fi actually worked reliably (revolutionary, I know), the common areas felt inviting without being crowded, and parking wasn’t the nightmare it can be in this part of the city. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re experiencing Łódź rather than just sleeping somewhere between tourist stops, this place gets it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest option on the block, but it’s definitely the one I’d book again – and actually have.

  Mieszkanie świetnie wyposażone od żelazka i suszarkę po najróżniejsze przyprawy, mąkę i papier do pieczenia.
  Na miejscu było bardzo czysto, czysta pościel oraz ręczniki.
  Nie mam żadnych uwag

  Mieszkanie obszerne, bardzo wygodne dla grupy znajomych. Dobrze wyposażone, duża ilość miejsc do spania. Blisko centrum przez park po drugiej stronie ulicy 5 mi, pieszo.
  
  What could be improved: Niestety większość łóżek zwłaszcza podwójnych wymaga wymiany. Krzesła w kuchni niewygodne, można by było pomyśleć o poduszkach na nie, zwłaszcza że to jedyne miejsce do przesiadywania w grupie. Mieszkanie w kamienicy na 2 piętrze, bez windy. Przyszłościowo przy dużej ilości gości wypadało by zabezpieczyć dwie toalety w większą ilość papieru toaletowego. Noże potrzebują naostrzenia.

  Bardzo fajna lokalizacja. Mieszkanie przytulne, czyste i miłym zaskoczeniem było przyzwoite wyposażenie (sporo szklanek/talerzy/kieliszków, kawa, herbata, przyprawy, książki, koc, ręczniki itp). Bardzo miłe i pomocne sąsiadki na dziedzińcu 😊

  – Very functional flat overall.
  – Fantastic location, walking distance to main attractions in the city centre, but far enough from Piotrkowska Street (the late night entertainment zone) to stay quiet at night.
  – Very well equipped kitchen.
  – Plenty of beds and bedrooms providing flexible accommodation for a large group.
  – It was great to have bathrooms (much needed with many people).
  – Availability of a free parking space.
  – Fast internet.
  
  What could be improved: – Lack of storage space for clothes, e.g. it would be great to have a small chest of drawers (or a wardrobe) in each bedroom instead of only a coat rack with few coat hangers.
  – The entrance gate and the staircase in rather rough condition (grows on you as a feature after a day or two:).
  – Entrance gate very narrow and small space round the parking spot, making manoeuvring rather hard. If you have a wide people-carrier or a long 9-seater car, you can only drive in with wing mirrors folded, and have to start the right turn into the gate from the left lane on the dual carriage road which can be risky if the road is busy.
  – No living room/communal area (except for a small space for two people in the corridor). Not a problem if you plan to spend your time mostly outside.

  Very pleasant location for larger families. Everyone had their own nook to rest and the kitchen was big enough for us to gather in when we wanted to spend time together.
  
  What could be improved: The instructions on how to get the gate key and which apartment it was were unclear.

  What could be improved: Very bad situation – we found dirty rooms, open doors. The apartments were not cleaned after the last guests. There was trash everywhere. In the bathroom was vomitted, the beds were slept in, the sheets were not changed

  The separrete rooms were great. I travelled with group of friends. Having the comfort of personal space was really valuable. Two bathrooms were also great. I definitelly recommend!
