Look, I’ll be honest – Nowoczesny Apartament III surprised me in all the right ways. When I first pulled up to this place on Zarzewska street in Łódź, I wasn’t expecting much from the unassuming building exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t scream for attention from the sidewalk.

The apartment itself is exactly what the name promises – genuinely modern without being sterile. I mean, the kitchen actually has decent counter space (you’d be amazed how rare that is in European city apartments), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly. The whole place feels like someone put thought into how people actually live, not just how things should look in photos. There’s proper blackout curtains too, which I appreciated since I’m one of those people who can’t sleep with any light creeping in. The heating worked perfectly during my November stay – and trust me, Polish winters don’t mess around.

What really sold me on this spot was the neighborhood itself. Zarzewska is in this quiet residential area that feels authentically Polish, but you’re still only about fifteen minutes by tram to get into the main city center around Piotrkowska Street. There’s a small grocery store literally around the corner where the staff actually remembers you after a couple visits, and this little café called Kawka (I think?) about three blocks down that does incredible pierogi – way better than the touristy places downtown. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in a Polish city will tell you is basically a miracle. The building itself is quiet; I never heard neighbors through the walls, even on weekends.

The 8.7 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed here a few nights. It’s not trying to be a luxury hotel – there’s no concierge or room service or any of that – but everything just works the way it should. The WiFi was solid (I was working remotely), the bed was actually comfortable, and check-in was smooth even though my Polish is basically nonexistent. The host responded to messages quickly, which I really appreciated when I couldn’t figure out the washing machine settings. Small thing, but it matters when you’re dealing with travel laundry, you know? I’d definitely book this place again if I’m back in Łódź, especially since it gives you that authentic living-in-the-city experience without the typical apartment rental headaches. Plus, at three stars, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect – sometimes the mid-range spots are where the real gems hide.

  Labai švarus butas. Patogus. Gera vieta. Patogios lovos. Privatus nemokamas parkingas. Su gyvūnu apsistojome nemokai. Tai didelis pliusas jei keliauji ilgesnį laiką.
  
  What could be improved: Viskas tobula, jei ne maža smulkmena kurią manau šeimininkai ištaisys🤔. Yra skalbyklė, bet nėra visai jokios džiovyklės. Išsiskalbėm, o džiauti nėra kur😅.
  Parkingo vartai automatiniai, tačiau norint įvažiuoti ar išvažiuoti kaskart reikia skambinti šeimininkei. O jei gryžti visai naktį kažkaip nepatogu🫣.

  Świetny apartament, kanapy bardzo wygodne a pościel świeżo wyprana. Budynek nieco przeraża jednak samo mieszkanie bez zarzutu!

  Modern apartment, two huge TVs, everything clean fresh. There was few teabags and coffee available. Comfortable apartment. Enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Secure gated car park.
  
  What could be improved: There was no WiFi ,on the TV only local channels. Didn't like the area outside the apartment, seemed quite run down. In hot weather could do with fan as it was too hot at night , street noise all night when open the windows.
