Novotel Lodz Centrum Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Novotel Lodz Centrum on Piłsudskiego Avenue, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another business hotel. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this sleek, modern vibe without being cold or sterile, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to help rather than going through the motions. I mean, the woman at check-in remembered my name the next morning – that’s the kind of detail that sticks with you.
What really sets this place apart is how well it works for Łódź. The location is honestly perfect if you want to explore the city properly. You’re right in Śródmieście, which means you can walk to Piotrkowska Street (the main pedestrian strip) in about five minutes, and all those converted factory spaces like Manufaktura are easily reachable. I spent most of my evenings wandering around the old textile district, and it was nice knowing I had a comfortable base to return to. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious – I had one of their standard doubles and actually had room to spread out my stuff, which never happens in European city hotels. The bed was properly comfortable too, not one of those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you questioning your life choices.
Here’s something I really appreciated – the breakfast setup actually makes sense. Instead of the usual hotel buffet chaos, they’ve organized it so you’re not fighting crowds just to get coffee. Speaking of coffee, it’s decent, which is more than I can say for most hotel coffee in Poland. The only minor complaint I had was that my room faced the avenue, so there was some traffic noise in the early morning, but honestly, it wasn’t bad enough to lose sleep over. If you’re a light sleeper though, maybe ask for a room facing the courtyard. The whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess? Like they’ve figured out how to run a hotel without all the usual friction points. When I needed late checkout for my afternoon flight, they didn’t even blink – just made it happen. That 8.9 rating it has makes total sense once you’ve stayed there.
Exploring Lodz offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s creative renaissance, from its historic textile factories to its world-renowned film school and dynamic cultural scene.

Comfortable beds, very good localization – at the very heart off the city. Nice bedroom equipped with a hair dryer and high quality bath products
What could be improved: The staff could be a little nicer, it wasn’t anything bad, but compared to the service I experienced in other hotels, i feel like they didn’t try enough. I felt like they were more catering to my friend, who booked a more expensive room
