I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to New Adler Bed & Breakfast on Żeligowskiego Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard residential building in Łódź. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this little B&B totally did that for me.

The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days, which I mean, isn’t that what travel should be about? The street itself is quiet – none of that tourist trap chaos you get in the city center – but you’re still close enough to walk to Piotrkowska Street (about 15 minutes if you don’t mind the stroll). The owner, who speaks pretty decent English thank god, gave me the rundown on the best tram connections right during check-in, and honestly, their local tips were spot-on. There’s this little pierogi place around the corner that I never would’ve found without their recommendation.

What really won me over was how clean everything was – I’m talking hospital-clean, which matters when you’re staying somewhere that’s not a big chain hotel. The breakfast situation is actually legit too; fresh bread, good coffee (not that instant stuff), and they’ll adjust timing if you need to catch an early train or something. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully set up with decent Wi-Fi and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. I stayed during a pretty busy weekend in summer and never had issues with noise from other guests, though you will hear some street sounds in the morning – nothing crazy, just normal city life waking up.

The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me because this place delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. It’s clean, comfortable, and the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying with people who actually care about your experience rather than just processing another booking. Plus, parking is available if you’re driving (which in Łódź city center can be a real headache), and the whole area feels safe for walking around, even at night. Would I stay here again? Absolutely – especially for the price point and that genuine, family-run vibe that’s getting harder to find these days.

  We are a big family of 5, and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spacious and cozy. There is a kitchen, so it’s possible to cook if needed. Everything was clean. There’s also a small shop downstairs where you can buy all the essentials. It was very convenient!
