Narutowicza City Apartments Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Narutowicza City Apartments – it’s tucked into this pretty typical residential building on Prezydenta Gabriela Narutowicza street, and from the outside, you’d probably walk right past it. But here’s the thing about staying in Śródmieście – you’re basically in the heart of everything without the tourist trap pricing, and this place really gets that balance right.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for what you’re paying. I mean, we’re talking about actual kitchenettes where you can make real coffee (thank god), not those tiny hotel room setups with a kettle and some instant packets. The whole vibe is sort of modern-minimalist meets Eastern European practicality – clean lines, decent furniture that’s obviously been chosen to last, and windows that actually open properly. You know what I really appreciated? The noise levels are totally manageable, even though you’re right in the city center. I stayed there during a weekend in spring and could barely hear the street traffic, which is pretty impressive considering how close you are to all the main action.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a ten-minute walk to Piotrkowska Street, which is basically Łódź’s main artery where all the bars and restaurants are. But honestly, some of my favorite discoveries were just wandering the immediate neighborhood – there’s this little pierogi place about three blocks away that locals actually go to, and you’ll pass at least two decent grocery stores if you want to stock up your kitchen. The tram connections are solid too, though I found myself walking most places because everything’s actually closer than it looks on the map. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – street parking fills up pretty quickly during weekdays, but there are some paid lots within a few blocks that aren’t too expensive. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward; no fancy lobby or anything, just practical key exchange and someone who actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the standard tourist spots. It’s the kind of place that works really well if you want to feel like you’re living in Łódź for a few days rather than just passing through.

Reviews of Narutowicza City Apartments

  • Very Good – Andrei from Belarus – June 27, 2025 (8/10)

Location in the city centrum, safe, renovated house and yard. To Piotrkowska 7min on foot. I felt safe returning home even late in the evening. Well equipped apartments, a bit small, but comfortable.

What could be improved: As I was planning to work remotly a small table would be good, so it wasn't I had to hire coworking additionally.

  • Very Good – Monika from Poland – March 31, 2025 (8/10)

Maleńka sypialnia ale na niedługi pobyt ok, jak dla nas za miękki materac i za mała kołdra dla dwóch osób

  • Wonderful – Anna from Latvia – March 30, 2025 (9/10)

  • Wonderful – Rafał from Poland – February 28, 2025 (9/10)

    Świetnie wykorzystana przestrzeń.

  • Exceptional – Joy from Poland – February 27, 2025 (10/10)

    Excellent

  • Very Good – Emilia from Poland – February 22, 2025 (8/10)

Apartament położony blisko dworca. Pod domem sklep. Łóżka wygodne. Czysto i przyjemnie.

  • Bad – Tetyana from Ukraine – September 16, 2024 (1/10)

What could be improved: The room and bathroom were dirty.
Strangers come in without permission to repair the toilet, and no one tells us.
It is not safe to leave things in the room.
    The mattress was old, dirty

    and uncomfortable

  • It's was a great, convenient , functional, fully equipped small studio. Super nice host. – Rachel from Israel – April 17, 2024 (10/10)

I didn't see the detailed message of the owner in my phone for some reason, so I got a bit lost of where to go and how to enter, but I called her and she was super nice and explained the whole thing, all the directions and codes. It was very helpful to talk to someone in this confusing situation. The studio is very confutable, it's tiny but fully equipped, there were EVERYTHING you would ever need on your stay. Very clean and lovely. We loved it a lot.

  • Ok – Weronika from Austria – October 31, 2023 (7/10)

It was super central and the price was good.

What could be improved: It wasn't perfectly clean, there was food (??) rest in the sink. One can hear the neighbours coming in and leaving super clearly. The bed for the kids wasn't made- I had to look for the bedsheets and duvet cover.

  • Great position but overpriced – Anonymous from Italy – May 7, 2023 (6/10)

The position was great, really close to the main train station and to the bus/tram stop, as well as Piotrkowska street.

What could be improved: I was moving out of Lodz and had to give my flat away on Friday, so I booked a room here for the weekend.
My room was almost on the last floor and there was no elevator. As I had just moved out of my flat, I had a lot of stuff with me that I had to carry up and down on all those old stairs. Obviously I was a special case because usually tourists don’t have that much stuff with them, but even carrying one suitcase on those stairs is not fun.
The shower drain was clogged. When I arrived I was extremely tired and slept on a super small couch (can’t totally complain about this because maybe it could have been opened into a sofa-bed but I was too tired to try). I could hear people in the other rooms/building. Also I had the impression that someone came inside of my room while I was gone because there was some dirt on the floor and the same dirt was in the hallway. I noticed there was some construction so it had been probably that. I think it would have been nice to send a note at least. Also messages from the owners were always in Polish even if I was writing in English, and I’m not saying everyone needs to know English but this only added up to everything else and didn’t make me feel welcome. definitely overpriced, the only great thing was the location.
