MYE Apartments – Kamienica Sienkiewicza Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to MYE Apartments – Kamienica Sienkiewicza, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s this beautifully restored kamienica (that’s what locals call these old townhouses) right on Sienkiewicza street, and you know what? The facade tells such a great story about Łódź’s architectural comeback. The building has that perfect balance of historic charm and modern updates that actually works, which is rarer than you’d think in this city.

What really got me was stepping inside – the apartments feel genuinely spacious, not like those cramped European hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture. I mean, these are proper apartments with full kitchens, and honestly, after eating pierogi for three days straight (not complaining, just saying), being able to make some simple meals was a godsend. The décor strikes this nice middle ground between boutique hotel sleek and homey comfort. Nothing too fancy, but everything feels thoughtfully chosen and actually functional. The beds are properly comfortable too – I’m picky about mattresses and slept really well here.

Location-wise, you’re smack in Śródmieście, which is perfect if you want to explore Łódź on foot. Piotrkowska Street is literally a five-minute walk away, and that’s where all the action happens – the restaurants, bars, that whole pedestrian zone thing they’ve got going. But here’s what I appreciated: Sienkiewicza itself is quieter than the main tourist drag, so you’re not dealing with late-night noise from bar crowds. I could actually sleep with the windows open, which was lovely during my spring visit. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood (like most city centers), but the staff gave me some solid local tips that saved me from circling blocks endlessly.

The service feels more personal than your typical chain hotel – probably because it’s a smaller operation. Check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about getting to the train station, they didn’t just hand me a generic map. They actually explained which tram to take and mentioned that Sunday schedules are different (little details like that matter when you’re catching an early departure). The 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience this kind of attention. Sure, it’s not going to have a spa or room service, but honestly? For exploring Łódź and having a comfortable base with your own kitchen and proper living space, this place delivers exactly what it promises. Plus, you’re staying in a piece of the city’s history – these old kamienicas have seen Łódź transform from industrial powerhouse to cultural hub, and there’s something pretty cool about being part of that story, even just for a few nights.

    Big shopping mall

  • I enjoyed every minute staying here – Antonia from Ukraine – June 25, 2025 (10/10)

Ideal location (Piotrkowska st. is just the next corner). Perfectly clean. Very beautiful building. Charming inner courtyard. A lot of roses outside. Great mini park with angel monuments and rose groves just crossing the street. The apartment is cozy, very clean, with everything needed. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped. Tea, coffee, sugar. Nice modern design. Everything is new. Staying here was a great pleasure. And if you are crazy about smth sweet and crunchy, I recommend Quasa, croissant bakery. The best croissants in my life!

  • Beautiful Apartment – Mariella from Malta – June 23, 2025 (10/10)

We had a great stay in this apartment which is in a good location but above all beautifully decorated, cosy and spotlessly clean. Communication with the host was easy and so was check-in and check-out. I do recommend it and would love to book it once more should I visit Lodz again!!

  • Great location, but we booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms and did not get it. – Eva from United States – June 3, 2025 (8/10)

Beautifully restored old building, great location. Helpful staff.

What could be improved: The property is advertised as 2 bedrooms and living room. There is actually only 1 bedroom, and with sofa bed, not regular bed.
The other so called “bedroom” is a space above kitchen/living room and it is only 4 ft 6 inches high!
One can not stand in that room!
There is no wall or doors for any privacy if you decide to crawl there and sleep.
    It’s useless unless you’re a child.

We had two phones and one would not connect to the property WiFi.
Staff blamed it on the phone, but we used both all over Europe and there was never a problem connecting to WiFi.

Shower had no shelf to put soap or anything else anywhere, but on the floor; very inconvenient. Same with the bathroom sink.

  • Great bright airy and comfortable apartment in a great location. – Peter from Australia – May 29, 2025 (10/10)

Perfect location opposite a beautiful park, virtually one street away from Piotrkowska the main tourist street of Lodz, and relatively easy to get to two shopping malls- in one direction Lodz Galleria and in the other was the larger Manufaktura. Also 10-15 minute walk from the main train station Lodz Fabryczna.

What could be improved: Nothing – it’s was great.

  • Exceptional – Susan from United Kingdom – May 14, 2025 (10/10)

The location was just perfect for exploring the city, so close to the main busy shopping and restaurant areas. Small shop for essentials across the road 2 mins away.

  • Exceptional – Egle from Lithuania – May 11, 2025 (10/10)

The location is perfect. The apartment was quiet and

  • Exceptional – Volodymyr from Ukraine – May 5, 2025 (10/10)

  • Nice, clean flat and very helpful owner – Pawel from United Kingdom – April 28, 2025 (10/10)
