I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to MI9 by LookAp on Mielczarskiego street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard building in this part of Łódź. But you know what? Sometimes the best places surprise you, and this little 3-star spot absolutely delivered in ways I didn’t see coming.

The thing about this hotel is that it gets the basics so right that you almost forget you’re not paying premium prices. I mean, the rooms are genuinely comfortable – not just “decent for the price” comfortable, but actually well-designed spaces where you want to hang out. The beds are proper firm (thank god, because I’m getting too old for saggy mattresses), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than my last apartment. What really caught me attention though was how quiet it stays, even when Łódź gets busy outside. You’re right in the city but you’d never know it once you close that door. The staff at check-in actually knew their stuff too – gave me real recommendations for dinner spots nearby, not just the tourist traps you usually hear about.

Here’s what I really appreciated: this isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-run hotel that understands what travelers actually need. The location works perfectly if you want to explore Łódź properly – you can walk to the main shopping areas without dealing with all the chaos of being right in the thick of things. Parking was straightforward (which, let’s face it, can be a nightmare in Polish cities), and the whole vibe just felt… competent, I guess? Like someone actually thought about how people use hotels instead of just throwing together rooms and calling it done. I’ve stayed in plenty of places with more stars that felt way more chaotic and impersonal. Sometimes you find these gems that just nail the fundamentals, and MI9 is definitely one of those – the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day right, and don’t spend half your trip dealing with hotel nonsense.
