The apartment itself felt more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room – proper kitchen, comfortable bed, and honestly, cleaner than my own place back home.

You’re close enough to the famous Manufaktura shopping center (hence the name, I’m guessing) to walk over when you want that polished experience, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds and noise. The tram connections from this part of Baluty are actually pretty solid – I could get to the city center in about fifteen minutes, or head out to explore some of the more industrial, artsy parts of Łódź that most visitors completely miss. The neighborhood has this working-class authenticity that I really appreciated; little corner shops, locals chatting on stoops, the kind of evening quiet you don’t find in touristy areas. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy lobby chandeliers or room service, but sometimes what you need is just a really solid, comfortable base where everything works properly and you can settle in like a temporary local. That perfect 10 rating? Yeah, I can see why other travelers felt the same way I did about this place.
