M Hotel Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to M Hotel on Św.Teresy street, I wasn’t expecting much from this part of Baluty. The neighborhood feels pretty residential and quiet, which actually turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t plan for. You know what I mean? Sometimes the best finds are in areas where tourists don’t usually wander.

The hotel itself has that practical, no-nonsense vibe that I’ve come to appreciate in Polish three-star places. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, if that makes sense. The lobby’s clean and straightforward, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – which can be hit or miss in this price range. I mean, the 7.4 rating makes sense once you’re there for a day or two. The rooms are properly sized (none of that cramped European hotel nonsense), and the beds are actually comfortable. I slept well, which is saying something since I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses when I travel.

What really worked for me was the location’s practicality – you’re far enough from Łódź’s city center to avoid the weekend noise, but getting into the main areas isn’t a hassle if you’ve got a car or don’t mind a tram ride. The Baluty district has this authentic, lived-in feel that gives you a better sense of how locals actually live, rather than just seeing the polished tourist bits. There’s a decent little market nearby where I grabbed some snacks, and the morning coffee situation is solid enough. The parking was straightforward too, which honestly saved me a headache since driving in Polish city centers can be… well, let’s just say it’s not always fun. I noticed the hotel gets quieter in the evenings – no loud groups stumbling around the hallways, which was perfect for actually getting some rest. The whole experience felt refreshingly unpretentious, like staying somewhere that focuses on the basics and does them well rather than promising luxury it can’t deliver.

  What could be improved: there was no opportunity to have coffee or tea. the restaurant is closed. there is no coffee machine, there is no cafe nearby

  They were able to receive us within an hour's notice, around midnight on a Saturday evening.
  
  What could be improved: The room was so hot, there was no air to breathe. Ventilation wasn't the best and no AC in the room. Luckily we arrived around midnight and once all windows were open it eventually cooled down enough to sleep in.

  The staff was very nice and friendly! The brealfast is really good, really enjoyed it. The spa is ok, doesnt work fully. The location is definately not the closest, but is next to the bus stops.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel is not very new, and so the room is quite used up, tho it was nice and clean. But i would definately say its overprices for the combination of room quality and location. The spa is not the best quality – the pool was great, but only one sauna was actually working and the water in bother jaquizzi was cold. Those are all minor things that add up and for the price of a good high quality hotel- the services are def lacking

  Location is poor, but price is same as of hotels in the city center.
  Jacuzzi, hammam, ice generator and almost all showers do not work in spa sector.

  Using the Spa facilities was a very relaxing and enjoyable time for us. Free access to the billiard table. Staff were very professional and willing to help. Delicious coffee!!!
  
  What could be improved: Firstly, our rooms were located at the back of the hotel, just next to huge, noisy ventilators. We asked for different rooms which was offered without any issues. The standard rooms were a bit old fashioned and need redecoration but were quite spacious. No aircon. Breakfast was ok but limited in amount if you will come later than 8:00 am !!!!
  Limited WiFi IN THE ROOMS! We tried to sort it out several times with the receptionist but eventually gave up.
