I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Drewnowska Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Lumina stylish 3-room apart with balcony. The Baluty district isn’t exactly what tourists picture when they think of Łódź, but you know what? That turned out to be exactly why this place works so well. It’s tucked into this quietly revitalized part of the city where you actually get to see how locals live, and the apartment itself feels like someone’s really thoughtful friend let you crash at their impeccably designed place.

The space genuinely surprised me – and I mean that in the best way. Three proper rooms that don’t feel cramped or awkwardly chopped up like so many apartment rentals do. The living area has this clean, minimalist thing going on without being cold or sterile, and honestly, the balcony might be small but it catches the morning light perfectly. I spent way too many mornings out there with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook (the local Biedronka is maybe a five-minute walk), though there are some solid pierogi spots nearby if you’re not in the mood to play chef. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night – I was worried about street noise, but this part of Drewnowska is surprisingly peaceful once evening hits.

The thing about staying here is that you’re positioned perfectly for exploring Łódź without dealing with the tourist crowds that cluster around Piotrkowska Street. I mean, you can still get to the main drag easily enough, but you’re also close to some of the city’s cooler, less obvious spots. The whole Baluty area has been quietly transforming itself, and you’ll stumble across these little cafes and shops that locals actually use rather than places that exist solely for visitors with cameras. Plus – and this might sound minor but it’s not – parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in the city center. The host was genuinely helpful too, none of that robotic check-in experience you sometimes get with rental properties. They actually seemed to care that I had a good stay, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re somewhere new.

Hotel in Lodz booking should be done early, especially during film festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cinematography events.

  What could be improved: The basket swing on the balcony was broken and unusable, the internet didn't work when we arrived, the shower had a missing lever and there were no toiletries available. This apartment needs some maintenance and repairs, more than just a cleaning between guests.

  Nice clean apartament, in a safe area. Good amenities, excellent host, very comunicative.
  
  What could be improved: The mattress in the bedroom was a little too soft for me, but I guess that is just a personal opinion. A little too far from the city center.
