Lumina Loft Tymienieckiego with a view of the lake Overview

When I first walked into Lumina Loft Tymienieckiego with a view of the lake, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a five-star place on Wincentego Tymienieckiego street – it’s not exactly the most glamorous address in Łódź. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come from unlikely spots. The moment I got to my room and saw that lake view stretching out beyond the windows, I got it. The name isn’t just marketing fluff – there really is something luminous about how the light hits the water, especially in the late afternoon when everything goes golden.

The loft setup is actually pretty clever – they’ve managed to make these spaces feel both sophisticated and lived-in, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. I mean, the ceilings are high enough that you don’t feel cramped, and there’s this interesting mix of modern fixtures with some industrial touches that somehow works without being too try-hard about it. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you settle in – it’s those little details that add up. The shower pressure is fantastic (always my first test), the bed is legitimately comfortable, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually block out light, which anyone who’s stayed in European hotels knows isn’t always a given. What surprised me most was how quiet it stays at night, considering you’re still in the city. Tymienieckiego can get busy during the day with local traffic, but evenings are peaceful enough that you can hear the water lapping if you crack a window.

The staff seems to really know their stuff about Łódź too, which I appreciate – none of that generic tourist information you get at some places. They pointed me toward some spots in the nearby Bałuty district that I never would have found otherwise, and gave me the heads up about parking (there’s decent street parking, but it fills up fast on weekends). Honestly, the location grows on you. You’re close enough to walk to the main attractions like Piotrkowska Street, but far enough out that you feel like you’re experiencing a bit of real Łódź life rather than just the tourist bubble. The lake access is the real winner though – there’s something restorative about watching the water change throughout the day, and I found myself just sitting by the window with coffee more mornings than I’d planned. It’s not flashy luxury, but it’s thoughtful comfort with a view that makes you want to extend your stay.

Lodz’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of industrial heritage and modern comfort, with many featuring film tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Reviews of Lumina Loft Tymienieckiego with a view of the lake

  • Exceptional – Ąlina from Poland – August 15, 2025 (10/10)

Miejscówka ok,super. Wszystko jak na zdjęciach,

What could be improved: Niestety brak klimatyzacji,a bardzo by się przydała.

  • Perfect and would definitely book again – Joseph from United Kingdom – August 13, 2025 (10/10)

Very spacious, very clean. Great location lovely services close.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Exceptional – Justina from Lithuania – August 8, 2025 (10/10)

Faina vieta, iki centro ėjom peškom. Gerai, kad turi parkingą, kuriame palikome mašiną ir nereikėjo jaudintis dėl to. Graži vieta, jaukus butas. Tilpome keturiese su vaikais.

What could be improved: Sunkiai spaudžiasi mygtukai į namo įėjimą. Trūko mažesnių rankšluosčių, virtuvinio rankšluosčio. Bet šiaip viskas gerai.

  • Disappointing – Krystian from United Kingdom – August 2, 2025 (4/10)

    Location and underground carpark.

What could be improved: The apartment wasn't ready for the check-in, I had to wait for an hour.
The apartment was superficially cleaned with dust in some cupboards, on vents and on the bedroom steel frame. There was a condom wrapper in the bedroom behind the bedside cabinet!
The sofabed in the lounge is possibly the worst bed in the world with metal bars digging in my back and 5 cm thick mattress. This is not usable as a bed and apartment should not be advertised as for 4 guests.
The toilet flush is so powerful that it shoots the contents of the toilet bowl on the floor.
On the subject of the bathroom, the external door is made of glass for perfect viewing of the toilet and shower cabin…
After all this I hated the apartment and found a few more smaller things but I won't be listing them all, you get a picture…

  • Polecam – Barbara from Poland – June 30, 2025 (9/10)

Mieszkanie w ondowionych budynkach na Księżym Młynie. Okolica fajna.
W mieszkaniu prawie wszystko czego potrzeba.
    Dobry standard.
    Samochód bezpiecznie w podziemnym garażu.

  • Strongly recommend for business or holiday stay. – Jan from Poland – January 14, 2024 (10/10)

Very good location, 2-floor apartment well furnished and extremely clean, living room + 2 private bedrooms upstairs, private parking place. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed! Strongly recommend for business or holiday stay.

  • Great stay in unique historic part of Łódź – Maria from United States – July 27, 2023 (10/10)

The apartament is in the recently revitalized factory complex of Księżny Młyn, a unique industrial historic area that was the heartbeat of the empire of the ‘king of cotton’ – Karl Scheibler. The proximity of the historic buildings and area is a treat. The place is large, clean and very comfortable. Communication regarding checkin and checkout was great.

What could be improved: We were a bit confused about the location of the prong garage with the free parking space guests can use. We were, however, able to call the apartment manager and get instructions, which was very helpful.

  • Very Good – Turner from Estonia – July 16, 2023 (8/10)

What could be improved: Neither of the bathrooms could be locked. Upper bathroom needs some updates.

  • Very Good – Maciej from Poland – April 10, 2023 (8/10)

The building itself is breathtaking, esp if you like industrial vibe

What could be improved: The fact that parking is literally impossible outside of the designated parking spot, which was located 200m away from the building, in a labyrinth-like underground garage

  • Exceptional – Monika from United Kingdom – November 6, 2022 (10/10)

Everything it's super definite I'm back
    Soon recommended 100%
Staff very helpful property management perfect thank you 😊
