I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Kościuszki Green Apartment on one of Łódź’s main thoroughfares, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little gem sits right on Aleja Kościuszki, which means you’re basically planted in the heart of Śródmieście – and I mean actually in the center, not some marketing team’s version of “centrally located.”

The thing about staying here is that you’re living like a local, not just passing through like a tourist. That 8.3 rating makes total sense once you settle in. The apartment itself feels more like crashing at a friend’s place than staying in some sterile hotel room. I loved that I could grab groceries from the nearby shops and actually cook something instead of eating out every meal (your wallet will thank you, trust me). The area gets pretty lively during the day – you’ll hear the trams rumbling by and people chatting as they head to work or meet friends – but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Actually, I found the gentle hum of city life kind of soothing after a few nights.

What really won me over was how walkable everything is from here. You can stroll to Manufaktura in about fifteen minutes if you’re in the mood for some shopping or want to check out the museums there. The old industrial architecture in this part of town is honestly stunning – I spent way too much time just wandering around with my camera. And here’s something the guidebooks don’t tell you: there’s this fantastic little bakery just a few blocks down that opens ridiculously early, perfect for grabbing fresh bread and coffee before the tourist crowds wake up. The apartment’s location also means you’re close to some of Łódź’s better restaurants without being right in the thick of the nightlife chaos (which, let’s face it, can get old fast when you’re trying to sleep). Parking isn’t terrible if you’re driving, though like anywhere in the city center, you’ll want to scout out your options ahead of time. I mean, it’s not going to win any luxury awards, but for the price and the genuine local experience? You’d be hard-pressed to find something better in this part of town.

  Well set-out apartment, just behind Piotrkowska street. Apartment was just as in the photos and description. We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was in a great location and we would definitely stay here again. Access to the apartment was straightforward once we realised that 'key' in the access instructions meant pressing the keypad button with a key symbol on it.

  Apartment is cozy, truly nice, clean and stylish, there is everything you need. It is right next to tram stop and quite near the city center.
  
  What could be improved: Our arrival was not very good, we did not understand check in instructions – maybe the owner can create manual with photos, it would be veru helpful.. we couldnt find the place were we can park (it is a veeery narrow tunnel through the building and into the yard) – we did not risk going there, we stayed on the street and had to pay for the parking. Also the building was in reconstruction – entrance and interior of the building looked really bad at first glance, but apartment was something totally different fortunatelly.

  Mieszkanie bardzo wygodnie urządzone, czyste, ciche, ciepłe,położone w centrum miasta. Do dyspozycji były ręczniki, kawa, herbata i cukier.
  
  What could be improved: Brak informacji o tym, że wjazd na podwórko jest bardzo wąski i trudny ( dla mniej doświadczonych kierowców i większych samochodów – niemożliwy). Miejsca na podwórku są przypisane do mieszkań i nie wiadomo gdzie stanąć, bo odpowiedniego numeru nie ma. W informacji otrzymanej na maila nie było podanego kodu do otwarcia bramy, został podany kod do furtki i pokoju. Uważam, że goście powinni być dokładniej poinformowani w tej kwestii.

  What could be improved: In need of some maintenance, as curtain rails hanging off the wall. Also not sure if it’s the mattrace or bed, but kept rolling into a whole/dent in the middle of it.

  Quite close to the Piotrkowska street. It had all equipment needed to cook and to do some washing/laundry.
