Kościuszki Apartment Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Kościuszki Apartment on Aleja Tadeusza Kościuszki, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another residential building in Łódź’s city center. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This 3-star spot turned out to be exactly the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a local secret, even though it’s sitting right there on one of the main thoroughfares through Śródmieście.
The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days – I mean, you’re literally in an apartment building where real people live their daily lives. The entrance is nothing fancy (you might even walk past it once like I did), but once you’re inside, the space feels surprisingly homey and well-thought-out. What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being on such a busy street. The windows do their job, which honestly surprised me given how much tram traffic rolls down Kościuszki throughout the day. Speaking of which – and this is something the booking sites don’t tell you – you’re about a two-minute walk from several tram stops, which makes getting around Łódź ridiculously easy. I found myself hopping on Line 1 or 3 constantly to explore different neighborhoods.
The apartment itself has that lived-in feel that’s way more comfortable than sterile hotel rooms, but still clean and organized enough that you know someone cares about the place. Check-in was straightforward (no fancy lobby nonsense), and the host actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give me some solid restaurant recommendations – there’s this little pierogi place called Stary Młyn just a few blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise. Location-wise, you’re really well positioned here. Manufaktura shopping center is close enough for a decent walk when the weather’s good, but you’re also near the more authentic parts of Śródmieście where locals actually hang out. I spent most evenings wandering around Piotrkowska Street, which is maybe a 10-minute walk south, but I always appreciated coming back to this quieter section of the neighborhood. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Perfect for travelers who want a genuine slice of Łódź life without breaking the bank.
Exploring Lodz offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s creative renaissance, from its historic textile factories to its world-renowned film school and dynamic cultural scene.

Bardzo ładny i bardzo dobrze wyposażony apartament. Świetna lokalizacja.
What could be improved: Brak windy , póki co 🙂 ale to drobnostkaOk – Anna from Poland – May 26, 2025 (9/10)

for a short stay – Valeryia from Poland – May 25, 2025 (6/10)
Decent apartment for a couple of nights. Great location just a 5-minute walk from the city center.
What could be improved: What ruined the impression?
First — the bed linen clearly hadn’t been changed before our arrival, which felt unhygienic.
Second — the mop bucket stored in the closet has a strong unpleasant smell, making it impossible to hang outerwear there.
Third — the shower head holder is broken, so you can’t comfortably take a shower.
And finally, be aware that the apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator — if you have heavy luggage, a stroller, etc., be ready to carry everything upstairs by hand.Excellent stay. – Patryk from Poland – January 31, 2025 (10/10)
Clean, warm and in a very good condition. I had no trouble getting good sleep.
What could be improved: It’s on the top floor and there is no lift.Overall it was good – Hakobyan from France – November 10, 2024 (8/10)
Location was good, cosy flat, loved the lights and sockets everywhere
What could be improved: The radiator was not warm enough, no shampoo and gel in the bathroom, no elevatorDisappointing! – Katarzyna from Australia – September 20, 2024 (2/10)
Nothing
But, to be fair, it is modern, well equipped + good location
What could be improved: Upon arrival, I found the bed linen had not been changed from the previous guests. It was stained, wrinkled, and had an unpleasant odor. The spare set was in a similar condition. Additionally, there were multiple long dark hairs on a pillow.
I immediately called the owner, but unfortunately, received no response. I also sent a follow-up email with photos to give them an opportunity to address the issue, but again, no response.
Furthermore, the shower hand holder was broken, making it difficult to take a proper shower.
While the location/amenities were satisfactory, the cleanliness and maintenance concerns overshadowed my stayExceptional – Dmytro from Ukraine – January 25, 2024 (10/10)
The quality of the facilities was great. It was a huge benefit to use free parking in the backyard. The location is fantastic. The communication with facilities stakeholders also good.
Wonderful – Uros from Slovenia – August 21, 2023 (9/10)
Location was perfect – just few meters to the main promenade. Clean, despite that the staircase are under construction.
What could be improved: No sheets for 3rd bed. If you have a bigger car access to the private parking could be stressful. Clean, despite that the staircase are under construction. Lift is not working, so you have to walk to the 5th floor.Fresh and cool little studio in the city centre – Emil from United Kingdom – July 8, 2023 (9/10)
Perfect location, relaxing balcony, everything is very new. We might definitely stay again.
What could be improved: Flat is located on something like 5th floor, with the elevator being under construction. It’s quite a climb with a heavy suitcase at the minute.
Can be pretty loud when you open the windows.Great room for a medium long stay, location excellent really clean and great contact with the person who looks after it. – Edyta from United Kingdom – January 2, 2023 (10/10)
