The location is actually pretty clever if you know Łódź at all. Zarzewska 2 puts you in this interesting spot where you’re close enough to the action but not drowning in tourist chaos. I mean, you can walk to Piotrkowska Street (the main drag with all the bars and restaurants) in about fifteen minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you actually get some sleep at night. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – there’s a little market around the corner where the owner started recognizing me by day three, and honestly, that’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable.

What really surprised me was how thoughtfully everything was set up inside. The rooms feel more like a friend’s well-designed apartment than a typical hotel – there’s actual personality in the furniture choices and the lighting doesn’t make you look like you’re dying (you know how most hotel bathrooms are brutal). The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there because it’s those little things… like having a proper coffee setup instead of some sad instant packets, or the way the windows actually open wide enough to get fresh air without letting in all the street noise. I stayed during a pretty busy week in summer and never felt like I was fighting for hot water or dealing with paper-thin walls.

The staff – well, they’re not trying to be your best friend, but they know their stuff. When I asked about getting to the train station early in the morning, the guy at the desk didn’t just point me toward a taxi. He actually explained the tram schedule and which stop would be easiest with luggage. That’s local knowledge you can’t fake. Parking was surprisingly painless too, which if you’ve ever driven in Polish cities, you know is basically a miracle. There’s something refreshing about a place that just works without making a big show of it – no fancy lobby with marble everywhere, no overly complicated check-in process, just solid comfort and people who clearly care about doing things right.
