Hotel The Loom Overview

You know what struck me first about Hotel The Loom? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – this whole area of Łódź has this incredible textile history, and they’ve done something really smart with that industrial heritage instead of just slapping some generic hotel name on the building. I mean, Łódź used to be the textile capital of Poland, so staying on Ogrodowa Street feels like you’re right in the middle of where all that history happened.

The location in Baluty is honestly perfect if you want to experience the real Łódź without being stuck in some touristy bubble. You’re close enough to walk to the main attractions – Piotrkowska Street is totally doable on foot when the weather’s decent – but you’re not dealing with all the weekend noise that comes with staying right in the city center. I stayed here during one of those gray October weeks (you know how Polish autumns can be), and there’s something oddly cozy about having this comfortable base while exploring a city that’s still figuring out its post-industrial identity. The 9.3 rating doesn’t surprise me at all, actually – the staff genuinely seems to care about getting the details right, which is refreshing when you’ve stayed at too many places where everyone’s just going through the motions.

What really impressed me was how they’ve balanced the industrial aesthetic with actual comfort. The rooms have this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and honestly, the beds are fantastic – I’m someone who usually takes forever to fall asleep in hotels, but I was out cold every night. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after evening hours, which is great if you’re planning to actually get some rest. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate parking in Polish city centers, you’ll appreciate that small miracle. The whole experience just felt… well, thoughtful, I guess. Like someone actually considered what travelers need instead of just checking boxes on some corporate hotel standard. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because leaving feels like more effort than just enjoying another day of exploring Łódź’s surprisingly good coffee scene and those incredible murals scattered throughout the city.

Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Lodz through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s industrial heritage and cultural transformation.

Reviews of Hotel The Loom

  • Exceptional – Jakub from Poland – August 18, 2025 (10/10)

Great location, very good value for money.

  • Perfect – Nijolė from Lithuania – August 1, 2025 (10/10)

I had a fantastic stay at Loom Hotel! Everything is new and clean, with stylish decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed. Perfect for both relaxing and exploring the city.

  • Exceptional – Laura from Lithuania – July 28, 2025 (10/10)

Good breakfast, spa zone, we had a small issue regarding air conditioner, but it was solved in proper time, good food in restaurant and nice surroundings, possibility to rent bikes.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Great night sleep, close to a huge shopping mall – Natalija from Belgium – July 25, 2025 (10/10)

Close to Manufaktura, a big shopping mall, which was very convenient. The hotel is new. The room was spacious, clean and comfy, with a very good breakfast. Great quality of sleep.

What could be improved: It took a while to get hot water running (my not so patient husband took a cold shower). The "rain" shower head needs descaling.

  • Cosy, comfortable. – Lina from Lithuania – July 24, 2025 (10/10)

Hotel is really nice, cosy and very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Room was spacious, bed comfortable. Location is nice

What could be improved: Parking is 50 zl. I got this info already after confirming the booking. Had no other option just to accept it.
We didn’t like breakfast, for adults it’s ok. You have to choose what you will eat one night before your breakfast. That’s ok, but it means you will get this and you cannot change. My kid didn’t eat at all nothing from our order so i was sad for wasting money and food. For families with kids would offer to take breakfast in cafes nearby.

  • Pleasant stay with small issues – Gerda from Netherlands – July 14, 2025 (9/10)

The design of the room and the hotel itself was very unique and pleasant. Our room had a brick wall that added a certian vibe to the experiance. It was clean and very comfortable.

What could be improved: Everything was great except that our rooms shower was partially damaged upon arrival. Nothing major, but it was a bit uncomfortable to use. Also, parking was not guaranteed upon arrival, so the road to the hotel was a bit stressful, not knowing if we will have space or not (thankfully we got a spot). Another issue was the gap in the middle of the bed. During the night we kept on falling in between the mattresses, as our bed was just two individual beds put together with just a toppper. Still the sleep was good.

  • Wonderful – Sintija from Latvia – June 29, 2025 (9/10)

Overall hotel Interior and room design with high ceiling. friendly staff, clean, cosy, comfortable, quiet room. Very good breakfast with different options to choose from.

What could be improved: A little bit funny, but squeaky shower door. 😁it was loud.

  • Exceptional – Johan from Sweden – June 28, 2025 (10/10)

    Very modern. Close to mall

  • Exceptional – Heba from Germany – June 27, 2025 (10/10)

It was a nice hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful.

  • Exceptional – Raczyńska from Poland – June 24, 2025 (10/10)

The hotel is perfectly situated next to the Manufaktura complex, mirroring its beautiful architecture. It's a very modern, thoughtfully designed, and cozy place. Although we only stayed for one night, I am already looking forward to my next visit to Łódź so I can return. During our stay, there were only a few guests, which gave us the special opportunity to enjoy personalized breakfast sets prepared by the staff, as the buffet was temporarily unavailable. The food was absolutely delightful, with a wide range of options from continental to Polish, complete with a variety of delicious additions

What could be improved: I can't find anything to share
