You know what struck me first about Hotel Pietryna? Walking up to this place on Piotrkowska Street, you immediately get that it’s not trying too hard to impress – and somehow that makes it even more impressive. I mean, Piotrkowska is basically Łódź’s main artery, this massive pedestrian strip that goes on forever, and Pietryna sits right in the thick of it without all the flashy signage you’d expect from a place with a 9.5 rating.

The thing about staying here is that you’re literally in the heart of Śródmieście, which honestly took me a while to pronounce correctly (the locals are patient about it, trust me). But once you’re settled in, you realize why this spot works so well. The rooms have this understated elegance – nothing over the top, just really thoughtful details that make you comfortable. The windows actually block out the street noise pretty well, which I was worried about since Piotrkowska can get lively, especially on weekends when the bars and restaurants below come alive. Actually, that’s part of the charm – you can stumble back upstairs after exploring the strip without dealing with taxis or trams.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about where to grab coffee that wasn’t touristy, they pointed me to this little spot just off the main drag that I never would have found otherwise. And parking – well, if you’re driving, they’ll sort you out, though honestly you won’t need your car much once you’re there. Everything worth seeing in central Łódź is walkable, and the tram connections are solid if you want to venture out to places like Manufaktura or the film school area. The check-in was smooth too, no unnecessary paperwork drama, and they actually remembered my name the next morning (small thing, but it matters). I guess what surprised me most was how this place manages to feel both polished and unpretentious at the same time – like they’ve figured out that good hospitality doesn’t need to announce itself with marble lobbies and gold fixtures. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels like more effort than just… staying put and enjoying Łódź properly.

  The hotel is simply stunning.
  We had a huge suite. Very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. More than enough space for the family of 4. There was even a yoga mat in the room .
