Hotel Boss Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Hotel Boss on Tatrzańska Street – I mean, it’s tucked away in what feels like a residential corner of Łódź, and the name sounds a bit corporate, you know? But walking through those doors completely changed my perspective. There’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, and the staff behind the reception desk greeted me like I was a regular, not just another booking number.
What really struck me about this place is how it sits in the city. You’re on this quiet street where you can actually hear yourself think (which, trust me, is rare in Łódź), but you’re still close enough to the action that a quick tram ride gets you to Piotrkowska Street or the main shopping areas. The neighborhood itself has character – there’s a little bakery around the corner that locals line up at every morning, and I discovered this fantastic pierogi spot just two blocks away that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook. The hotel staff actually pointed me toward it, which tells you something about how plugged in they are to what’s actually good around here.
The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully designed rather than just furnished. I stayed on the third floor, and honestly, the bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed whole. The bathroom was spotless – not just clean, but genuinely well-maintained in that way that shows ongoing attention rather than just a pre-arrival scrub. What I appreciated most was the soundproofing; despite being in a city, nights were actually quiet enough for proper sleep. The WiFi worked without me having to reset it every few hours (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue), and there were enough outlets positioned where you’d actually use them. Small things, sure, but they add up when you’re trying to relax or get work done.
Look, Hotel Boss isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in Łódź, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s got this solid, reliable quality that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere that knows what it’s doing. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense to me – it delivers on what it promises without any unnecessary drama or disappointment. If you’re coming to Łódź and want a place that feels like a good home base rather than just somewhere to crash, this is definitely worth considering.

What could be improved: N/AGreat stay – recommend – Kadri from Estonia – August 7, 2025 (10/10)
Hotel is nice and check-in was easy and nice. Room was quite big and the beds were comfy, A/C worked fine. I liked that car park was actually gated and locked at night. Breakfast was super nice, lots of choice and not big enough belly to fill. Hotel is not in the center-center but you can walk or rent a scooter where the life is going on.
Wonderful – Alina from Malta – August 5, 2025 (9/10)
Comfortable room, good parking, nice restaurant.
What could be improved: Despite getting menus on the terrace, the waiters never came to take our order, so we had to go inside to order. Nonetheless, the food was lovely, definitely recommend trying!Wonderful – Sebastian from Netherlands – July 31, 2025 (9/10)
