Hotel Borowiecki Overview

Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first pulled up to Hotel Borowiecki on Marcina Kasprzaka street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in this part of Łódź. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages, and this little hotel totally changed my mind about what good hospitality looks like.

The thing about this area – and locals will tell you the same – is that Kasprzaka street puts you right in the sweet spot between Łódź’s business district and the more interesting cultural bits of the city. I mean, you’re not staying in some touristy bubble here, which I actually loved. The hotel itself has this quietly confident vibe, like it doesn’t need to shout about what it offers because the staff knows they’re doing things right. Check-in was refreshingly smooth (no waiting around while they fumble with outdated systems), and honestly, the woman at reception gave me better restaurant recommendations than most concierges at fancier places I’ve stayed.

What really struck me was how they’ve nailed the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms are clean in that genuinely spotless way, not just surface-level tidy, and the beds – well, let’s just say I slept better there than I have in some supposedly luxury hotels. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (revolutionary concept, I know), and there’s proper blackout curtains, which saved my life since I was dealing with some serious jet lag. You can hear a bit of street noise during busy hours, but it quiets down nicely in the evenings, and there’s something kind of comforting about the gentle hum of a city that’s not trying to be anything other than itself. The breakfast spread won’t win any awards, but it’s solid, honest food – fresh bread, good coffee, and they make a mean scrambled egg. Plus, parking is straightforward if you’re driving, which in Łódź can be… well, let’s call it an adventure elsewhere. I found myself genuinely impressed by how this place manages to feel both professional and welcoming without any of that forced cheerfulness you get at chain hotels.

  • Beautiful – Gita from Lithuania – August 8, 2025 (10/10)

Great place: the room is modern and fully equipped with all amenities. Check-in is convenient, and accessibility is clear. There is parking available. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Only 2 km to the zoo. I recommend it.

  • Clean hotel, helpful staff – Bellardo from Philippines – August 5, 2025 (10/10)

Receptionists were helpful when I arrived early in the morning and also left around midnight.
The hotel is near bus and tram stops, so even if it is a little bit out of the way, I never had any problems going around the city.
Big bed, spacious room and clean bathroom.

What could be improved: The price I paid could have already included a breakfast. Other than that, I really liked my stay.

  • A great place to stay! – Tamiris from Poland – July 29, 2025 (9/10)

The staff we met were great! At the reception and during the breakfast.
The room was very large and comfortable.
Breakfast was very good! Many options and very tasty and fresh!

What could be improved: It could have some blackouts in the bedroom. the curtains were thick, but yet a little too light early morning.

  • Excellent – Emiljano from Germany – July 9, 2025 (10/10)

Every think this is what a hotel should be

  • Wonderful – Izabela from Poland – June 30, 2025 (9/10)

Very nice room with tea/coffee set up.. The room and bathroom clean. Quiet and not crowded. Space for a car to park. Tasty breakfast with variety of food. Jacuzzi and sauna, and gym available and clean.

What could be improved: There was no bathrobes available nor additional towels for the SPA visit. There was no shower gel in the SPA. There was construction site in front of the main entrance to the hotel which does not add any beauty to the hotel. Pilows were very soft and flimsy.

Very good hotel , 15min walk to aqua park, 20min walk to zoo, good restaurant, free parking, good WiFi, everything perfect

What could be improved: Next to the hotel they are building apartments, so Saturday morning 6.30am job starts 🙂 but no problem for me
