Home Factory Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first saw Home Factory tucked away on Księdza Biskupa Wincentego Tymienieckiego street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name had me curious, and the location felt pretty residential for a hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t scream “tourist trap” from a mile away.
The whole concept here is actually pretty clever – they’ve taken this industrial-style building and turned it into something that feels like staying at a really cool friend’s place, if your friend happened to have impeccable taste in minimalist design. The rooms have this clean, almost loft-like vibe with exposed elements that nod to the “factory” theme without being gimmicky about it. I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so you’re not getting marble bathrooms or anything, but everything feels thoughtfully put together. The beds are comfortable (trust me, I’m picky about this), and there’s actually decent storage space – which, honestly, a lot of boutique places forget about entirely.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Being on Tymienieckiego street means you’re away from the main tourist hustle around Piotrkowska, but you’re still only about a 15-minute tram ride to the old town center. The neighborhood has this authentic, lived-in feel – there’s a decent grocery store within walking distance, and I noticed quite a few locals using the nearby bus stops, which always feels like a good sign to me. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish city centers will tell you is no small thing. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they actually knew the area well enough to recommend a fantastic pierogi spot that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook I’d seen.
Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities or anything like that, but the 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s the kind of place that just works – clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and run by people who seem to care about getting the details right. If you’re the type of traveler who’d rather spend money on exploring Łódź instead of paying extra for a fancy hotel lobby you’ll barely use, Home Factory hits that sweet spot perfectly.

I love the successful revitalization of buildings that were scary not long ago! ❤️ This building looks fantastic 😍
We didn't get the apartment with brick walls but it's ok, high ceilings do the job.Exceptional – Dorota from United States – October 25, 2023 (10/10)
Clean and comfortable
Comfortable apartment in historic mill building – Matthew from Australia – September 9, 2023 (8/10)
The apartment is in the historic Priest's Mill complex, in the long red brick building that would have been one of the factories. Enter via the driveway at the T.25 cafe. On the opposite corner is the Herbst Palace (mansion) museum, which was the home of the mill owner.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Although the weather was warm, it was not hot inside. There was a full-size fridge/freezer in the kitchen.
The bathroom had a washing machine (bring your own powder). A drying rack was provided. This worked well.
The TV faces the dining table, not the sofa or the bed. We successfully watched YouTube videos on it.
The Zabka convenience store out the front had essentials. A supermarket is a few blocks away.
Tram 1 was the best way to reach the apartment from Fabryczna station.
What could be improved: The only real problem we had was with the shower drain. It didn't run freely, so we ended up with a big soapy puddle in the shower which sometimes overflowed onto the bathroom floor. We have informed the owner.Exceptional – Airida from Lithuania – July 16, 2023 (10/10)
Very nice apartment in an impressive building. Clean, comfortable. Café in the same building, where we got our breakfast. Great place to stay.

Fabulous apartment in an amazing restored building. Great secure parking for car and bikes. Close to the city centre but in a quiet area. Good brew pub nearby. Would definitely recommend if visiting the city.

The heart of the brick story – Nikki_chainsaw from Poland – January 31, 2023 (8/10)
Pretty good location, interesting brick building, renovated textile factory. I like the concept very much. The place itself worth to stay here.
What could be improved: The smell in the apartment was pretty annoying for the first hour, then you are getting used to it. And only one more thing – mold in the bathroom. Bathroom really big, even huge but the mold in the tiling under your feet in the shower pretty disappointing. I may assume that it's because of increased humidity. Besides that everything was okay,Mostly awesome – Jacek from United Kingdom – December 11, 2022 (8/10)
Very neat and good looking room. Perfect for a 1 day couple or a business trip.
Very spacious room, comfy bed, decent kitchen.
What could be improved: We found someone's panties behind the washing machine… disgusting…
Not a great memoryComfortable with easy Check-in, liked the location. – Karen from United Kingdom – November 25, 2022 (9/10)
Interesting building located in an interesting area of Łódź. Comfortable, very warm, easy Check-in.
What could be improved: Could do with a bigger duvet. No tea towels, that might be a British thing.
