Holiday Inn Łódź by IHG Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Holiday Inn Łódź by IHG, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, it’s a Holiday Inn, right? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t feel stuffy or corporate, and the staff at check-in were genuinely friendly (not just going through the motions like you get at some chain hotels).
What really sold me on this place is the location on Piotrkowska Street. You know how some hotels claim they’re “centrally located” but you end up walking forever to get anywhere decent? Not here. You’re literally on Łódź’s main pedestrian strip, which honestly feels like the heartbeat of the city. I could walk out the front door and grab coffee at one of those little cafés, browse the quirky shops, or just people-watch from the outdoor seating areas. The street has this great energy – especially in the evenings when the locals come out and the whole area comes alive with music and conversation drifting from the restaurants and bars.
The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, but with some thoughtful touches. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are spacious with good water pressure – small things that matter when you’re traveling. I appreciated the blackout curtains because Piotrkowska can get a bit lively at night, though honestly the noise wasn’t bad at all. The air conditioning works well too, which was clutch during my summer visit when Łódź was having one of those humid weeks. What I really liked was having a proper work desk with good lighting and reliable Wi-Fi – it made answering emails way less painful than trying to balance my laptop on a tiny hotel table. The breakfast spread was surprisingly good for a chain hotel, with local Polish options mixed in with the international standards. And here’s something that might sound random but made my stay easier – the parking situation is actually manageable, which if you’ve driven around central Łódź, you know that’s saying something.
Lodz’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of industrial heritage and modern comfort, with many featuring film tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Great location for seeing the festival of light, you just walk straight up the same road. Comfort as expected for a Holiday Inn. Very quiet room even with trams nearby, we were facing a side road just a few metres from the main street. Excellent place for breakfast in a traditional courtyard 20 metres away
