The location is actually pretty clever if you know Łódź at all. You’re in the Baluty district, which means you’re close enough to the famous Manufaktura shopping center (hence the name, I’m guessing) without dealing with all the tourist chaos right on your doorstep. I mean, you can walk there in about ten minutes when you want that big retail therapy session, but when you come back to the hotel, it’s surprisingly quiet – especially considering you’re still very much in the city. The tram connections from this area are solid too, which I always appreciate when I’m trying to explore without renting a car.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting the details right. Check-in was smooth (they actually remembered my name throughout the stay, which is rarer than it should be), and the room had those little touches that make you think someone’s actually paying attention. The beds are properly comfortable – not just decent, but the kind where you might actually sleep past your alarm. Honestly, for a 3-star property, they’re punching above their weight in the comfort department. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, with good water pressure that doesn’t fluctuate when someone else in the building takes a shower. You’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in European hotels, even pricier ones.

I stayed there during a particularly busy weekend when Łódź had some festival going on, and while other places in the area were completely booked or charging crazy rates, this place maintained both availability and reasonable pricing. The breakfast spread was actually impressive – proper local options mixed with the international standards, and the coffee was strong enough to properly wake you up (crucial for me, I admit). The dining area gets good natural light in the morning, which somehow makes everything taste better.

What struck me most was that 8.7 rating – it’s not an accident. The place just works well without trying too hard to be something it’s not. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so when you ask for restaurant recommendations, you get real suggestions, not just the tourist traps. They pointed me toward this fantastic pierogi place about three blocks away that I never would have found on my own.

Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities – there’s no spa or rooftop bar – but that’s not really the point. This is the kind of place where everything functions exactly as it should, the value is genuinely good, and you leave feeling like you discovered something worthwhile rather than just checking a box. If you’re planning to spend your days exploring Łódź and want a reliable, comfortable base that won’t eat up half your travel budget, you could definitely do a lot worse than this spot.
