I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Golden Tobaco by Aparo with that incredibly long subtitle listing everything from beds to coffee makers, I thought it might be one of those places trying too hard. But after staying on Kopernika Street (which, by the way, is perfectly positioned between the main drag and the quieter residential blocks), I get why they’re so proud of what they offer.

The apartment is on the third floor of a classic Łódź building, and you know what struck me immediately? How thoughtfully everything’s been set up. The balcony – which honestly makes the whole stay – overlooks a tree-lined section of Kopernika that feels surprisingly peaceful for being so central. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from Piotrkowska Street, which is essentially Łódź’s Times Square but with way better pierogi. The coffee machine they mention in the name? Actually worth mentioning – it’s a proper espresso setup, not some sad pod thing. Small detail, but when you’re getting ready to explore the city, it matters.

What really impressed me was how the location works for different types of trips. If you’re doing the tourist thing, Atlas Arena is close enough for events, and the zoo’s an easy tram ride (take the number 1 or 3 from nearby). But if you’re more interested in the real Łódź experience, you’re in this perfect sweet spot where locals actually live and work. The main train station is about a fifteen-minute walk, which sounds far until you realize you’re strolling through some of the city’s most interesting neighborhoods – past converted factories and those amazing murals that Łódź has become famous for. I actually enjoyed that walk more than I expected, especially in the evening when the street lighting shows off the architecture.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish city pad that they’ve decided to share rather than a sterile hotel room. The bed situation is genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s enough space to spread out, which you don’t always get in European city accommodations. The whole setup works whether you’re traveling solo or with someone – there’s room to breathe without feeling lost in a huge space. Plus, having that balcony means you can have your morning coffee outside and plan your day while watching Łódź wake up below, which, trust me, is a pretty great way to start exploring this underrated city.

  Osiedle zamknięte, nowoczesne, miejsce parkingowe z garażu podziemnym. Mieszkanie jasne, pięknie urządzone, 4 osoby + łóżeczko dla maluszka, kuchnia wyposażona we wszystko co potrzebne. Obok dworca Łódź Kaliska, Atlas Arena rzut beretem. Doskonała komunikacja ze wszystkimi obiektami, które należy odwiedzić podczas pobytu w Łodzi. Kontakt z wynajmującym doskonały, instrukcja dojazdu, usytuowania, dostania się do obiektu jak i znalezienia miejsca postojowego jasna i czytelna, załączone mapki osiedla. Szukając noclegu przy następnym pobycie w Łodzi to będzie pierwsze miejsce, którego dostępność sprawdzę. Przyjeżdżaliśmy 4-osobową rodziną, było nam bardzo wygodnie i komfortowo.   beautiful apartment that's well stocked with everything you could possibly need. we stayed here for a concert in the Atlas arena which was less than a 15 minute walk away. everything is close by! Dawid was great at communicating and the check in went seamless. would definitely stay here again.
